There is a new breed of house fly at this place which has a taste for human blood — My wife and I were reduced to try this place out after everything else was closed during the afternoon break period. They had over 100 choices of pizzas, but could not substitute spicy salami for ham on one of their pre-programmed pizzas. The mushrooms they used looked canned and therefore the ingredients were very different from the fresh ingredients used by other restaurants in the area. The salad was bland and bitter. Worst of all, there were about 20 house flies buzzing around in our patio booth and the weird thing Is they attacked us and not our food — must say something about the quality of the food. Only good thing was the price — my wife and I ate lunch for 12 euros — not including water or beer.

Stopped here after getting situated at hotel which recommended as best pizza place in town. Ordered 3 different pizzas and a salad. Warm limp iceberg salad with only olive oil for dressing, didn’t eat it. All 3 pizzas were served nice and hot, crust good but barely edible due to high level of added salt. Never had a pizza were the main flavor was salt. Service ok but quite unfriendly.

Cinque Terre, like many touristy places, does have the potential for disastrously bad restaurants which do NOT go out of business(like one that would rely on local business). I think that’s the deal with this pizza place. the people working here seemed nice enough but this place was mediocre to pretty bad, all around. In this region, in the springtime, there is just no reason to put CANNED anchovies and CANNED artichokes on a pizza. I would suggest shortening the menu choices signficantly(it’s really not necessary to have 50 combinations to choose from), and making great pizza with the amazing local ingredients. If the price has to go up by 1 € per pizza, so be it. . We ordered a bottle of chianti, and the waiter just grabbed the display bottle sitting(upright) on the display of wines available, from the back of the booth next to us. Unfortunately it tasted like it had been sitting in the sun all of last sumer(the label was even faded). Just to top off the experience, the TV was blaring the whole time. I knew I should have left as soon as I walked in the door.

My girlfriend and I had a tiring afternoon traveling to Monterosso al Mare and wanted a quick, solid offering to fill our bellies. The proprietor of our hotel recommended this place to us for pizza so we gave it a shot. The restaurant is small and modest, but is a fast, friendly and efficient operation. They have a thousand different pizza combinations to choose from, which can be a bit overwhelming. However, when surveying the menu focus on the ones that satisfy a particular craving and you won’t go wrong. Please avoid the hotdog and french fry pizza unless you are under 6 years of age. The prices were low and the tasty bottle of vino rosso hit the spot. Two pizzas and the wine cost us only 30 euros.
