We had planned to eat at another restaurant nearby(which Unilocal indicated was open), but apparently because it was a Sunday, and October, they were closed. So we went to Don Salvatore’s instead, not knowing what to expect. Both the hotel clerk and the taxi driver said that it was a good restaurant, but you never know if these types of recommendations are really honest or not. In this case nothing much else was open nearby, so we arrived here… The atmosphere was nice. Nice place-settings, etc. My wife first off ordered a glass of the house red wine. At first they seemed to indicate that they didn’t have wine by the glass, and we had never looked at the menu so we weren’t sure. But in the end she got a glass of very nice red. My wife then ordered the lobster linguine. The dish I had selected was finished for the evening(it was late) so the waiter suggested something that was not on the menu — pasta with eggplant, tomatoes and cheese. It sounded good, so I took the chance and ordered it. Both dishes were very, very good. A LOT of lobster came with my wife’s lobster linguini. She gave me her plate with only some linguini remaining on it, after she had eaten all the lobster(she ate it using a high lobster-to-pasta ratio), and just the linguini with the lobster-infused«sauce» was delicious. And I must say the service was most friendly and courteous; we felt welcomed and well taken care of.

Nach einem schönen Spaziergang am Hafen entlang fanden wir dieses Restaurant. Der Salat, die Nudeln, das Fleisch als auch der Nachtisch waren sehr gut. Der Service freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Preise gleichen den der deutschen Restaurants. Die Einrichtung ist fein und selbst die Toiletten sehr sauber. Ich werde hier gerne wieder herkommen. Das einzigste Manko das wir gefunden haben, wenn man draußen sitzt, dann sitzt man an der etwas stärker befahrenden Straße dafür aber mit einen sehr guten Blick auf den Yachthafen und den Vesuv im Hintergrund
