I had a nice diner here. There was a line outside before the place opened for dinner. Luckily I was there and got a table as soon as they opened. The menu is on the wall all written in Italian. If you are patient one of the guys(most don’t speak English) will come to you and explain the menu to you. He was very helpful and made sure I understood everything. I had octopus salade for a starter which was nice and a seafood pasta for my main which was really good and fresh.

Excellent Resto traditionnel, ambiance sympa, détendue et efficace. Les italiens et les touristes font la queue devant cae pas plus de 10 tables.

We had never been to Naples before and our host recommended this place. It was truly an authentic Napoli café with very friendly waiters who recommended the antipasto first and seafood dishes. The food was delicious and atmosphere full of fun’

The restaurant opened 30 minutes past the 7p stated time, and seemed put off to have guests arrive. There was a mixed crowd of locals and tourists… it is on a well trafficked street(due to famous pizza shops), easy to find and not what id call a locals-only place. The fried zucchini flowers were unbelievable… a must. The rest of the food was just so-so. Prices reasonable.

Admittedly my husband and I found this restaurant with the help of our Naples guidebook, but it ended up being such a hit that we had dinner there three times. There are about 18(or so) tables. I’m not sure if they take reservations or not. Each time we dined there we went early — shortly after opening between 19:00 — 20:00. It filled up quickly. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall, casual and homey with checkered tablecloths. The menu is written on a big chalk board on the wall and changes every day according to what’s fresh. Despite this, there is still lots to choose from. The prices are amazing! Pasta dishes at 6EUR are alright with me! I couldn’t name everything that was on the menu those three nights. If you’re having trouble reading the menu, don’t worry. We had one waiter twice and a different one on the last night. Each time they crouched down at our table and listed off much of what was on the written menu and some of what wasn’t, making suggestions, answering questions and explaining dishes. I’ve never had such helpful service at a restaurant anywhere in Italy. And they recognized us each time we returned. I had pasta each night and each one was fantastic. The first one stands out the most in my mind. Spaghetti with a simple, fresh tomato sauce, fresh basil, black olives and capers. Fantastic. Each meal we had, with wine, came out to around 25EUR total. Absolutely recommend.
