Our group of 5 couples from the states stayed in a villa near Palaia, Italy decided to try this on our last night in Italy –we were all so glad we did! We made reservations for 7:30 on a Friday night. The entire waitstaff were so welcoming and friendly and spoke enough english to help us out. We ordered their house chianti and whites(1 of our friends doesn’t drink wine so he ordered a beer which turned out to be delicious!!) There were lots of different foods ordered which you can see in the pics. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. The florentine steaks were thick and cooked perfectly(rare) the sides were all eaten up quickly –then the 4 or so different desserts we ordered were all so so yummy. We didnt have a bad meal in Italy! Make sure you end your meal with limoncello! We found the restaurants so reasonably priced as well.

We stayed at a villa in the small Italian Tuscany town of palaia and this restaurant was highly recommended by the owners. They said it was rated #1 in the town. So on our last night we finally went with our group of 10. We did make reservations. Don’t know if that is always necessary but we wanted to be sure here since we had such a large group. The atmosphere is elegant– but we were not really dressed up and it was fine. The waitstaff spoke English, that always helps us! Started out with various bruschetta appetizers — tasty on the buttery toast. Oh and had the house wines. I had shrimp and prawns– kinda messy but worth it. Had rosemary seasoned fried potatoes on the side. Many people split the big pieces of steak that were cooked to perfection. Most ordered on the more rare side. They got to pick their pieces of meat before they were cooked. We ordered several desserts. I loved my chocolate moose the best but they were all tasty. See the pics! Wonderful experience, nice friendly service.
