Ich war morgens hier, zum Frühstück. Das ja in Italien traditionell eher klein ausfällt. Hier habe ich mir zwei fantastische Cornetti gegönnt, und dazu einen leckeren Cappuccino. Da war ein ganzes Buffet aufgebaut, aber mir war nicht klar ob das nur zur Auslage ist oder ob man davon essen kann. Egal, es gibt jedenfalls eine große Karte mit modern-​italienischen Gerichten.
Der Laden ist modern, und dabei sehr einladend, auch ein bisschen cool dabei. Draußen sitzen kann man auch, vor allem abends wenn hier was los ist interessant. Und: sehr nettes Personal. Ich komme wieder und probiere dann mal das Essen, was ja auch zu bekommen ist.

Awesome coffee, OK-​ish cornetti, interesting array of pastries for breakfast (served buffet style. Yes, seriously), OK food, great cocktails, cool interior, free & fast WiFi so good to work with your laptop. Oh and a nice, litte terrace. That’s Baylon Cafè for ya, in a nutshell.
Those juices, on the other, they’re rocking it! Fruits, vegetables, including half a carrot /​kiwi /​celery stick in your glass for garnish. Which I love, it only means I’m getting more vegetables in, which I otherwise wouldn’t. They have 8 different juices on the menu and you can also ask for a mix of your own likings. Just tell them your favourite ingredients and they’ll make it on the spot.
Best idea: have a juice + caffe doppio in the sun outside. Best. Way. To start your day!

Decent spot for some croissants and overpriced juice but overall quite disorganized and nothing special.

This feels like a slightly upscale backpackers place. Very Americanized menu. Bohemian in that late 90’s kind of way. The ginseng was good, but when isn’t it good?

Great local café in Trastevere. Friendly staff, great macchiatos and cappuccinos, juice bar was delicious and fresh, very affordable breakfast, and free wifi with your order. The staff spoke English and locals were friendly and conversational. I recommend the chocolate croissant with a macchiato for breakfast. Come back for lunch and a beer. You won’t be disappointed.

Baylon Café es de esos lugares a los que entras porque te parecen muy lindos pero el servicio y la comida decepcionan.
Está ubicado en el pintoresco y medieval barrio de Trastevere y solo por eso suma algún que otro punto. La atención es super despersonalizada, estaban claramente understaffed para ser verano y viernes en la noche por lo que los mozos hacían lo que podían pero tardaban con todo.
Pedí una copa de vino con mi plato (spaghetti con salsa y trocitos de salmón) y llegó cuando ya había comido la mitad. Comí mejores pastas en Roma en puestos mucho más precarios y al paso que en este lugar. El mint julep que tomé era puro hielo y de esos detalles que uno no se olvida: el «menú «era un papel todo gastado con las letras desdibujadas como un diario viejo. No se gasten en ir teniendo tantas opciones de restaurants y bares en esa zona.

Sea bass ravioli was good. Fettuccini ragu beef chianina and spaghetti frutti di mar with shrimp tartare were okay.
They’re supposed to be famous for their Zabaione dessert, but it was disappointing: super sweet and not that interesting (it’s a runny custard in a nice pastry cup with chocolate bits).
The tiramisu was really good with a light coffee flavour and lot of cream.
They charge 2 € for a jug of (tap?) water.
52 € total for three people.

In Rome? In the Trastavere area? Looking for a lovely lunch or brunch? This is it! A fun, funky bistro with outdoor seating, colorful local clientele, tasty food that ranges from smoothies to egg sandwiches and more. We ate here for lunch one day, and came back for brunch another day. Delish! Great servers, although they get busy.

Amazing food and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. The cocktail menu is interesting and the bar staff are true artists. The restaurant is on a busy street, so service can be slow during peak hours.

We were wandering around Trastevere looking for free wi-​fi and came upon this place. It is a modern café that definitely caters to a younger crowd. America music, discount breakfast, draft beer, friendly service, tasty coffee and fast/​free wi-​fi.
Their cocktails are expensive, so avoid them if you’re on a budget. They also offer a legitimate nightly buffet for £3 per plate of cold food. Not bad for cheapskates like me.

Good deal for 15 Euro. All you can drink wine + all you can eat buffet. The food was alright, the wine was good but we were offered only 2 choices. The back area has no WiFi, which sucked. They also gave complimentary coca-cola’s and red bull’s per request. Very nice staff and in a great area (Trastevere). Not a big wine drinker, but I’d come back.

Wir haben über eine Touristik Community den Tipp bekommen, dass das Café/​Restaurant sehr gut sein soll. Das Besondere ist, dass man keine Speisekarte hat, sondern eine Art Buffet, bei dem man direkt das Gewicht an Essen bezahlt, welches auf seinen Teller liegt. Die Auswahl reicht von Pasta, Fisch, Fleisch über Salat bis hin zu Antipasta. Pizza findet man hingegen nicht. Die Speisen werden in warmen Pfannen bereit gehalten, sodass man stehts direkt Essen kann.
Mir persönlich gefällt der Gedanke, dass man genau das Wählen kann, was man Essen kann und die Menge. Ein normaler Teller von ca. 400 – 500 Gramm kostet wohl um die 8 – 10 Euro. Dabei ist aber das Essen sehr lecker. Mein Hühnchenfleisch war sehr zart und saftig. Dazu gab es eine leckere Soße, aus frischen Tomaten.
Doch der Hammer ist auch die Einrichtung des Cafés: Es ist voll mit Designermöbeln und vieles ist sehr stylisch. Hier kann man länger verweilen. Der offene Gastraum wird auch als Ausstellungsraum von verschiedenen Künstlern genutzt. Daher wechselt wohl monatlich die Bebilderung der Wand, sagte uns das Personal. Dabei kann man den Traditionellen Espresso genießen und kostenlos im freien WiFi senden. Die gefiel mir besonders.
FAZIT: Das Restaurant bietet ein tolles Prinzip, da man verschiedene italienische Gerichte ausprobieren kann. Die Größe der Portionen selbst bestimmen kann. Hinzukommt die entspannte Atmosphäre im Verwinkelten Gastraum, der Stilvoll eingeräumt ist. Die Speisen sind gut und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Besonders toll ist das freie WLAN.
