Decent food but unhappy service. Sulky waitress who appears to be there only because someone is making her.

Great restaurant, great bar relaxing area, fabulous service. Loved coming here, we stayed in Trastevere(Which I would highly recommend) during our 5 night stay we came here 3 times. Two times for drinks and to relax and once for dinner. The bartenders and wait staff are excellent, friendly and informative, good music playing overall a wonderful atmosphere.

Schöné Atmosphäre, wunderbare Weine(sicherlich 200, die man alle auch offen trinken kann!), leckeres Essen, und das zu wirklich akzeptablen Preisen. Wir hatten eine tollen Abend und kommen sehr gern wieder.

Antico is always packed. The appertivo looked amazing, but I was there for a dinner with our professor. We had four courses. 1st course: Rigatoni with ox tail sauce. Pretty tasty, although it wasn’t anything out of this world. Essentially just pasta with red sauce. 2nd course: Crostone del moro(pork with chef’s sauce). Very very good! The pork was cooked well, and sat on top of a piece of crisp bread that soaked up the juices and sauce. The sauce was sweet and savory at once, in a tasteful way. Sides: Mixed salad – literally just lettuce and some veggie slices. Peas with guanciale(pork) – literally peas with bacon. Not bad, not good, just pretty honest. Dessert: Chocolate profiteroles. YUM. These were so good. Profiteroles are basically crème puffs. These were covered in a sort of mousse that was amazing and creamy without being heavy. Overall, my experience was decent. I’m glad my meal was paid for, and I’m not sure that I would go again, but it was as good change of pace from the sad sandwiches I’ve been consuming each day.

One of the best restaurants that I visited during my vacation in Rome. We asked a guide from one of our tours for a place that he recommended since he lived in Rome and this was one of them. He also said the Travastere neighborhood was a popular place for young people to go and socialize. We weren’t disappointed. The service was nice and friendly. The food was excellent. I had pasta with bacon and artichokes. We tried wines based on the waiter’s suggestions and they were delicious as well.

We’ve had an opportunity to visit a dozen or so restaurants since we’ve been in Rome. This was by far the best we’ve been to. The pasta was amazing, wine was wonderful and the service made us feel very special. The Trastevere neighborhood is across the river from the heart of Rome. But, if you’re staying on that side of towm, it’s definitely worth the short walk. We’ll be here for a few more days and will most likely be back.
