Best pasta I’ve ever had in my life. We had the fresh pasta with tomato and mozarella, the rissoto, steak and a mozarella salat. It was way too much food for two but it was too delicious that we finished all. Simply amazing and the prices are reasonable! We also ordered a bottle of white wine, very good.

The food was absolutely wonderful! My family and I were staying at the nearby hotel and came two nights in a row because of the food. Our waiters Alex and Luigi were wonderful and offered great suggestions on some typical Roman dishes so that we could taste something local and different than we would have back in the U.S. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quiet and quaint restaurant with delicious food! Thanks again to the staff there that made our dinning experience great.

Luckily I listened to the reviews otherwise we may have missed this one. We were staying next door at the Crowne Plaza and wanted to try something other than the hotel food when we saw this recommended in a 2 minute walk. The ambience is amazing. The service was fantastic. If you drove by you might miss it. Make it a definite stop along the way.

Excellent dinner tonight! I had the veal chop and grilled vegetables. The food was very good with attractive presentation. Great restaurant to visit in Rome! Very satisfied. Even had to spurge on dessert. Too tempting to pass up on authentic Italian food and desserts. Enjoy! Also, Alex was very helpful and spoke English well. Another plus…

Arturo’s is an absolute must whether you’re a Roman or you’re on a Roman holiday. I lived in Rome for 12 years prior to moving to the U.S., and eating at Ristorante Arturo(on numerous occasions might I add) was undeniably the highlight of my stay in Italy. This restaurant has been running since 1968 by an Italian family that serves 100% authentic and exquisite Italian dishes. The food here is unparalleled — every dish on the menu is made with the utmost care and the freshest local ingredients(probably why Italian food can’t really be replicated elsewhere). From the hot focaccia straight out of the pizzeria, the crispy and juicy calamari, the mouth-watering mozzarella and prosciutto, the al dente noodles accompanied with succulent clams, and the sizzling steaks cooked to a perfection… Mamma mia, Ristorante Arturo is as good as it gets when it comes to Italian food. I recommend sitting in the outdoor glass-covered terrace; the ambience is intimate and soothing; you feel like you’re dining in a greenhouse, even in the middle of winter! Ristorante Arturo is beyond a restaurant — it’s part of Rome and its history. You’ll almost always see Italian stars and Vatican officials dining amongst visitors from all over the world. Glance around the pictures on the walls of Pope John Paul II dining at the restaurant, and chit chat with the owner Bernardo(if you can catch him, he’s always at the restaurant, but he’s a quick one!). A meal here is an experience to be relished, and a trip to Rome is incomplete without a visit to Arturo’s.

We had a family of five and sat in the atrium area. It was quite nice but a bit loud. The interior room appeared more quite and a bit more sophisticated. We ordered pizza and a variety of pasta dishes along with a bottle of Chianti. All was excellent. The service was good. It is a mix of mostly Roman couples(cross section of ages) and families along with several tourists walking from local hotels.(Crowne Plaza for us.) I would recommend.

Arturo’s was excellent!!! Unassuming store front, leads to very comfortable seating areas. Excellent home made pastas and sauces. Great service, knowledgeable staff, and English-speaking wait staff. Good wine prices and selection. Highly recommended!!!

Have you ever had authentic Italian pizza or pasta? As in real, homemade, real, Italian and REAL(have I mentioned the authenticity of this food?) Italian food? Unless you’ve been to Italy, or indeed a restaurant owned by an Italian, then you probably have not. WELL let me tell you about this little hidden gem of Italy. The Arturo all’Antica Aurelia is absolutely beautiful. One night in Rome I wasn’t feeling particularly well, so when my parents went out for dinner and brought me back a takeaway pizza from this place, I really wasn’t in the mood to eat it, that was until my mum convinced me to have one slice, and before you knew it the whole thing was gone. Sweet heaven, this was PIZZA pizza. Cheesy and tomato-y and everything you could want in life. So after hearing my mum’s review, and tasting the pizza, I simply had to go to this place and try it for myself. The restaurant itself is relatively large, with various rooms, but we were seated in the beautiful outside garden type area which was lovely and warm because of the gorgeous Italian summer weather. We decided to only have mains, and I can’t remember what the rest of the family had, but I remember very well what I had. The famous pizza I’d had a few nights before, and because it was in the restaurant(IFEVENPOSSIBLE) it tasted better. Wow. Talking about this restaurant has made me crave a return visit. Anyone willing to pay for my flights to Rome? Anyone…
