My two daughters 9 and 12 both had spaghetti with a separate order of meatballs. Meatballs were very good. Pasta was also good but for Italy was below average. My wife and I each had salads; hers a Cesar and mine octopus. Both were also good but the octopus was less than perfect. Service was good but slightly below average for Rome. Location is great. We would have given the restaurant 4 stars but reduced rating to a 3 based on unused bread on the bread bowels being reused for other customers.

Great location. Nice décor. Food a bit over priced. Servers were not very attentive. They were all standing together chatting, which made a bit of a challenge to get our server’s attention several times. My Lasagna was luke warm, dry and had a sour taste. A bit of extra sauce did help. My son got the ravioli. He said it was good, but was a very small portion. My husband’s Caesar salad with chicken was good. Another son’s Carbonara was ok, but salty. We had to ask for the basket of bread even though we are automatically charged for it in the coperti.($ 2 cover charge per person). Would not go back. We are from the US where the servers need to earn their tip. Bread is brought to the table complimentary and you don’t need to ask for the olive oil for dipping.

Stopped in for a mid day snack. Our waiter was a little snooty. We ordered drinks and side dish with ham, mozzarella on toasted bread. We have another round of drinks but left and went else where for our lunch..

Sitting here now… Manager sat us and we had many minutes pass by to ask why it is we want. Then when all we wanted was cocktails the level of service dropped to zero even when our cocktails were 10 Euros each. Even when they charge a service fee and for bread they never gave us bread and service was from any waiter that we flagged down. She kept talking about us to her waiters because they looked here and walked away after talking to her. Manager name is Nicolette. Very bad service could be that we have a baby with us or that we are not Italian but she seems French anyways :(

It’s located close to several tourist hot-spots, yet far enough away that you don’t get completely ripped off. The food is amazing(very high quality). I highly recommend the braised cheek beef. The staff was very friendly and the service was amazing. There seems to be a trend among Italian wait staff to leave you alone unless you need something which I really appreciate. It’s very easy to get their attention(in which case they come right over) but otherwise they leave you alone to enjoy your meal without interruptions. We elected to sit inside but they offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

A great place to drop in for a drink. They provide tasty olives and crunchy olive oil crackers — we ordered a cheese plate to coincide with our cocktails while we giggled at two adorable girls from the UK who were having«fizzy» drinks for the first time with their parents. Great people watching — great service.

Located near Trevi Fountain. Wet came in for dinner after coming in day before for a couple of drinks. Bar area actually gets 4 stars for drinks and service… However the food and dinner service ultimately gets the 2 stars. Service was slow and we were only checked on for order then left alone most of our dinner. I ordered the lasagna that was very dry to the point the noodles even seemed overcooked and crispy. The flavors were lacking to say the least… my husband ordered a spaghetti and the noodles which were not aldenta and the sauce again lacked flavor. I am one who loves dessert but I didn’t even bother this time due to the lack of taste from our dinner… was very disappointed in what seemed like an American meal vs an Italian meal while in Rome…

Adoramos o mozzarella burger! E as batatas fritas ótimas para as crianças. O lugar é agradável e as garçonetes surpreendentemente simpáticas.

Located in one of the most touristy areas in Rome, Baccano probably costs more than the average meal. But food is good, drinks are good and service is good so there’s not much more you can ask for. Sick of pasta and pizza, we shared the tuna tataki(EUR23) and meat and cheese platter(EUR25). The tuna meat was thick and cooked just right while the cold cuts were thinly sliced to perfection. Part of the cheese platter, the blue cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. My bf confirmed that the red wine here was the best he tasted in Rome. Yes we probably got ripped off here but there are worse places to waste your money. And as a tourist, I have to say we wasted quite a bit of money on bad food in Rome.

The drinks are fantastic, and so is the service. They gave us a free taster player when we came it for drinks, but I didn’t love the food. However, as a place to stop for a few cocktails or(the only) Pale Ale in Rome, don’t miss this place!

Located smack in the middle of a touristy area in Rome, Baccano serves some pricey yet well prepared dishes. We stopped in for a holiday meal when many other restaurants were closed for the night. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, the décor is very professional and would not look out of place at a high end American chain restaurant. Our table skipped the antipasti and started with a bottle of montepulciano. Their wine list is extensive, with many Italian wines that are affordable as well as a few quite expensive and rare bottles. Bread was served complementary and came with a very good cold pressed evoo. For my entrée, I stuck with the Roman classic of cacio e pepe. Every time I have tried this dish, it has been with a slightly different preparation despite how ultimately simple it is. The version here featured pasta that was cooked longer than I expected, with a much cheesier, wet taste. It was essentially mac and cheese with spaghetti noodles. My wife tried the lasagna, which looked, and according to her, tasted delicious. Our service throughout the meal was excellent and attentive. While the service was great and the food fairly good, I was not happy when our bill arrived with a previously unadvertised service charge of € 8. It is becoming a common practice for restaurants to charge visitors in Rome such a fee, which I find unacceptable. Either include service in the price of each item as stated, or allow your customer to tip.

Holy cow this place is good!. Found by accident just walking around shopping. The wine, the Mozzarella, parmigiano, carpacccio, the olive oil. Life is good. Ate tender octopus and carpacccio. With appetizers this good, I would never eat dinner. Take it slow. This is the restaurant you’ve been dreaming about on your trip to Rome. I Love Baccano!

We planned to hit Buccano and Trevi Fountain after six for their«happy hour» Apéritif. We ordered a fabulous glass of Amarone and received a small plate of tidbits. The tidbits were basically free!

This review is solely for the drinks and service! My boyfriend and I ended up in here because we needed to use the bathroom(lol) and upon walking out, we noticed how nice the bar looked so decided to stay for a drink and boy are we glad we did! The drinks were super good and made perfectly! Sitting at the bar, we were able to see the bartenders making other customers drinks & they all looked amazing! We began chatting with the bar manager Valerie, she is soooo sweet and on top of everything in her restaurant! She began sharing great knowledge about Italian liquor which was incredible to learn! We didn’t order any food because the prices were pretty high but the food did look amazing!

Absolutely amazing cheeseburgers. But the waitress was very pretentious. I couldn’t finish my Burger and I asked for a box and with her nose up she replied, «no, no boxes.» My husband and I were immediately turned off. She finally came back with a peice of foil but we were still frustrated, especially after receiving the check. Pricy.

Hidden service fee per person. Subpar food. Too many other restaurants that are superior to this one in Rome. Pass on this restaurant. Just meh. Tourist trap.

Popped in for a drink and a snack. Food arrive before drinks which turned up 15mins later. If you get what you ordered its pretty good… If you don’t mind waiting. Wouldn’t rush to go back.

First restaurant during my stay in Rome! Enjoyed every moment of it from the appetizers to the desserts. We ordered a chartucerie to start, my brother ordered pasta, my mom got lasagna, and I had octopus salad over potatoes. We shared tiramisu for dessert. First time I experienced how real tiramisu tastes. I don’t think I can order it in the United States anymore. The prices are very reasonable. I know I’m a tourist so my review might be biased, but I’m somewhat a foodie.

Best food I had during my stay in Rome(6 days). Cosy atmosphere with friendly staff and great wine/food. I would recommend this for both couples and families with kids. If you are having the beef id recommend the Südtirol Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva 2012 from Kellerei St. Magdalena. Great fruity wine with rich taste that doesn’t cost a fortune.

I have a feeling the only people giving this restaurant high marks are tourists because there’s no way any one who has a real grasp of Italian food would give this place more than 3 stars or even try to argue that this food is anything more than average! Like all eating establishments near tourist sites, the food is sub par, the price is inflated, and the place is always crowded… with tourists. The homemade pasta noodles are surprisingly delish, the presentation is beautiful, the bread basket is yummy, and the ambiance is inviting. I wish there was more«sex» I could tell you about, but unfortunately the rest of the meal was mostly forgettable. The ossobuco was drowning in a thick, almost too salty brown gravy that tasted like it had been made from a mix and/or sitting there all day. And given that or food came out less than 10 min after we ordered, I wouldn’t be surprised. The spaghetti sauce was entirely to sweet and quite frankly, toasted like canned Chef Boyardee(sp?). The octopus salad, which I was very much looking forward to, was very unappetizing. While I’m sure there are items on their menu that don’t disappoint, unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of sampling them during my visit and given my experience, I probably won’t return.
