Really plain food — nothing special and a bit too touristic. But you get what you pay for. Service extremely fast — almost like they want you out of here as fast as possible.

I’m glad I walked into this restaurant. I was looking for carbonara pasta and they did it right, with big chunks of pancetta. Fried zucchini flowers were good but the cheese inside made them a bit heavy they would have been better without. The servers were curtious and attentive. After I had paid I was talking to the owner or manager and he explained that he was from Napoli, if I would have known this before I would have tried the pizza, they have a nice traditional pizza oven. Also they have a large grill so I expect if I would have had room for a secondi it would have been good… Next time.

I come here every time I am in Rome. This place has been here for years. It’s across from S. Pietro in Vicoli and easy walking from Colesseo. Good basic pizza, many selections, draft beer, cool interior!

Pizza was just pedestrian. Friend had the spaghetti Carbonara and sent it back because the noodles where not cooked(hard not«Al dente»). They took it back for twenty minutes and then served the same dish back like it was a new one. Waiter spoke English well to certain people but did not speak English to Americans tourists. This place is listed in an American«Blue» guide book but something has changed since Rick was here. I have been to Rome many times and I won’t be coming back to this place.

A casual atmosphere with great simple food, friendly staff and reasonable prices — a family friendly restaurant. Excellent wood fired pizza, gnocchi and terrific salads. We had dinner at this restaurant on two different evenings as it was close to our apartment. We had margarita and arrabbiata pizza on the first night and gnocchi, spaghetti pomodoro and carbonnera on the second night — all excellent. Also highly recommend the salad with walnuts, lettuce, tomato, black olives and ewe’s cheese(the name escapes me) as it is wonderful. Our lovely server gave my daughter an AMAZINGLY delicious panna cotta with chocolate sauce as a free desert — I’m just happy she also brought an additional small spoon for me!

We had just arrived in Rome and found ourselves wandering around the neighborhood where our apartment was. Most places were closed for lunch, and some of the tourist places were on Cavour, but getting lost, we found Chicco. Friendly greeting when we walked in and there was one solo diner eating. Ordered a great bottle of wine, I ordered the carbonara and the partner ordered the arrabiata, which he said had a spicy kick to it, probably one of the spiciest he’s tasted. This was the first time I had a pasta carbonara, and it was very good. We also ordered the Diavola pizza, spicy salami, which they divided for us… very nice of them to do that. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and welcomed respite since it had started to rain. They have a nice patio outside, and when we had finished, the rain stopped and people were sitting on the patio.

We were staying at Hotel Columbia and Verena there recommended this place for pizza and pasta. We received a warm greeting and around 9pm on a Monday night, were able to get a table outside. We order the Pizza Ortolana(9 Euros) — various vegetables, the Bucatini Alla Amatricuana(10 Euros) — bacon tomato sauce. Water for the 3 of us was 2.50 Euros and bread was 2 Euros. We ate for 23.50 Euros. Their pizzas are made with a wood burning oven. I loved the fresh vegetables and the mozzarella cheese was fantastic! The Bucatini was al dente and had a good sauce.

I have traveled to the eternal city many times. When I am in the Cavour area I eat here. The pasta is good but the pizza is the best. I always get a pizza with tomato or pomodoro sauce(it’s the American in me). You can’t go wrong with this place. The service can be slow but that is typical of Italy restaurant. And yes, they have some workers who speak English so don’t worry:-) Enjoy!

My wife and I enjoyed a casual dinner and shared a pizza and pasta carbonara. Both were very good. The pizza crust cooked in a stone oven were thin and very good. The pasta was very good. I really enjoyed the house wine. The service is what earned the fourth star!

This place was recommend by the USO Rome and an excellent choice! We opted to dine al fresco at night and enjoyed our table in the corner with a nearby heater. It seemed fairly well-patronized, but only when we went in to use the toilets(clean!) did we realize how packed the inside truly was. The place is a lot bigger than we expected from the outside. We shared a liter of the house red wine at € 10 which was decent; I loved my pizza al arrabiata and spouse loved her spaghetti bolognese. I would definitely come back here again!
