Colosseo

Ich hatte so viel gehört und im vorwege gelesen. Vor allem wegen den Schlangen. Daher wollte ich die Roma Karte dort einsetzen. Zuerst hatte ich mir ein Skip the line Ticket für 24 €gekauft, aber das Roman Forum wäre nicht mit drinnen gewesen. Daher wieder storniert.
Es gibt direkt gegenüber die Metro (B Linie) und mehrere Busse halten. Von der Piazza Venezia kann man aber laufen oder Bus 87 ist auch gut. An den FR-​So ist die Strasse nur für Füssgänger geöffnet. Somit fahren die Busse weiter oben, bei der Partymeile der Gaystreet fahren die ab.
Es gibt 3 Wartelinien.
Eine für Gruppen und Skip the Line Tickets, eine für die Romacard sowie reservierte Tickets und eine für die noch keine Tickets haben.
Ich habe in der 2. Line 45 min gewartet. Schade aber die halben Touristen haben die Romacard.
Auch wenn ich ein Ticket für 12 € mit einer Uhrzeit mir Online gekauft hätte, dann hätte ich auch 45 min gewartet. Das ist sehr schade.
Nach dem Security Check mit einem Scan wie am Airport war ich drin. Kaufte mir einen Videoguide. Schade es gab keinen Audioguide. Wieder anstehen. Dort kann man nur mit EC/​Kreditkarte zahlen.
Der Videoguide ist ohne Kopfhörer. Somit bekommt jeder mit das man Deutscher ist und unterhält die Umgebung. Fand ich sehr unangenehm.
Der Blick ist wirklich unglaublich. Ich war zusammen 2 Std drin mit Roman Forum und Palantine. Am Ende kann man aber nichts mehr aufnehmen.
Mich störte im Colosseo vor allem die Massen der Touristen. Es ging nur um Schleichschritt weiter. Um ein Foto aufzunehmen müsste man auch eine Weile warten. Auch die ganzen Gruppen mit den Führungen nervten.
An dem Tag war das Wetter eher mau (Regen, bewölkt und das im Juni), bei schönem Wetter ist bestimmt noch mehr los.
Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall sofern man die Zeit hat eine Führung und ein Skip the line auf einer Seite für min. 24 €zu buchen. (

Es gibt auch abendliche Führungen die aber noch teurer sind.

A peine arrivés à Rome, nous avons foncé vers le Colisée. De nuit, cet édifice est réellement magnifique. Nous avions programmé notre visite pour le lendemain.
Une fois devant l’antique monument, la Roma Pass s’est avérée très utile pour deux choses: nous avons pu passer outré la billetterie pour bénéficier de la gratuité (contre 12 € initialement) en ayant choisi le Colisée comme premier musée visité, et nous avons esquivé la file d’attente grâce au système du coupe-​file du pass.
Nous avons zigzagué pendant 1h30 à travers ce somptueux édifice, mais également avec de nombreuses expositions.
J’ai adoré visiter le Colisée et essayé de me plonger dans l’ambiance antique que de nombreux films ont tenté de retranscrire.
Le seul bémol — que j’ai toujours en travers de la gorge — fut l’impossibilité d’accéder à l’arèné, zone réservée au groupe avec un guide… Pourquoi? Nous payons nous aussi le droit d’entrée !!

Bueno, el coliseo es todo. Pero todo en la humanidad. No se puede creer esta estructura. Y lo imponente, gigante, grande, elija su propio adjetivo sinónimo.
Está aparte en el medio de la ciudad, onda mi habitación hospedaje estaba a 4 cuadras. Hermoso. HERMOSO. Y atrás tiene un parque grande que caes y hay restos y barcitos para comer y tomar birra MIRANDO AL COLISEO AMIGOS.
La cola para entrar es kilométrica, mejor compren por internet el ticket aunque cueste unos euros más, lleven agua. Y de ahí nomas se van a la parte del foro romano y la zona de las ruinas.
Imperdible para la humanidad.

Alors oui le lieu est magnifique, oui c’est gorgé d’histoire, oui ces pierres ont vu des siècles et des siècles défielr sous leurs yeux. mais la visite peut tourner au cauchemard. Vous vous doutez bien que c’est hautement touristique … et qu’à moins d’un miracle, vous allez faire des heures de queue avant d’espérer entrevoir l’interieur !
Mais que neni: tata floflo est là ! Allez y à 7h45 un mardi … et là miracle: les cars de touristes né sont pas encore sortis de leurs hotels, et vous vous retrouvez à faire une grosse demi heure de queue max !
Mon conseil c’est de bien prendre son temps, et surtout être équipé d’un bon guide (nous on avait le guide d’Alix, et franchement il était top) … Prenez votre temps, et imaginez le centre du colisée submergé pour les joutes en bateau qu’il y avait à l’époque. magique non?

Ah le Colisée ! Cet endroit magique et mystérieux de la capitale italienne.
Un monument que l’on attend de voir avant même de prévoir sa visite, et que l’on attend avec impatience. Et puis… on le voit ! Et on commence à s’imaginer ce qu’il a pu se produire avant: les combats, les gladiateurs, la Rome Antique. Tant d’histoires à compter ici, tant d’événements ont du s’y produire.
On s’en approche, on en fait le tour, on l’admire sous tous les angles. Et puis vient le moment de rentrer. Alors le gros gros problème c’est que c’est hyper long d’y rentrer. Il y a une file d’attente de plusieurs heures. D’ailleurs après plus de 3 passages à Rome et autour du Colisée, je n’ai toujours pas réussi à en voir l’intérieur, trop découragée par la file d’attente …
Prochaine virée romaine, il né m’échappera pas, en prenant les entrées avec accès coupe file sur internet, et en campant devant à partir de 7h du mat, je devrais finir pas réussir à y entrer !! :)

Immanquable à Rome.
J’en rêvais depuis mon enfance!
Petite astuce pour né pas faire la queue: acheter un billet combiné Palatin /​Forum /​Colisée à 12 €, directement au Palatin, dont l’entrée est sur San Gregorio et où il n’y a pas de file d’attente (mais pas du tout! je suis passée direct!). Ça vous servira de coupe-​file sur ces trois sites, et le billet est valable deux jours consécutifs. Il y a aussi le Roma pass mais tout peut se faire à pieds à Rome, donc pour nous c’était pas très intéressant.
Pour en revenir au Colisée, prenez l’audio guide (attention paiement en carte bancaire uniquement), intéressant pour créer un fil conducteur dans la visite et la découverte de ce site unique.
Attention à l’heure de fermeture, plus de visiteurs une heure avant le coucher du soleil (là en mars: fermeture à 16h).

Je recommande l’entrée et la visite guidée ou avec audio guide. À toutes saisons, c’est un dire impressionnants qui rassemblent beaucoup de touristes et né désemplit pas (j’y étais en janvier en pleine semaine et nous n’étions pourtant pas les seules, loin de la !)

Even without a tour this place is worth the visit and photos. Head up the hill where the ledges are and it’s a great photo op.

The grandness is stunning. I think everything about it was great except the fact that the road is so close. I wish this man made marvel wasn’t so close to another man made road.

During the summer of 2005 my family and I took a trip to Italy with the intentions of
learning about Italy’s history and culture and enjoy our visit in another country. Although we
were staying with friends in Naples, we were able to travel and explore a variety of locations.
Some of these places were Sorento, Venice and Rome. With so much to do in Italy, we saw
many historic landmarks and were able to dive right into the Italian culture for the time that we
were there.
To being our trip we took a 13 hour plane ride out of Nashville. With such a large plane,
it was nice to see how accommodating the staff was and how comfortable they made the flight
for everyone. We had a scheduled lunch and dinner as well as multiple movies to watch during
our trip and plenty of snacks! It is very easy to see why airlines are such a popular form of
transportation. Airplanes, although not the biggest type of transportation has proven to be very
convenient through the years. As great as the plane ride to Italy was then it is so exciting to see
how that sector of transportation continues to expand and advance
One of the unique aspects of Italy, is their landscape. Our tour guide, while taking us up
into the mountains of Sorrento on probably the smallest road I have ever seen, with windows
everywhere, our tour guide told us about our surroundings and its history. When we got to
Sorento, we walked through the little town in the mountains and got to try all of their different
lemon orientated delicacies. Finally, we stopped at a small café where my family and I had lunch
and celebrated our friend’s birthday. Interestingly enough, a group right next to us was
celebrating a birthday as well. Because of this commonality we were able to spend the rest of our
afternoon, as we sat through about 5 courses, and chat with the locals. Being able to speak with
and bond with the people from this area was probably the best part of that afternoon. They were
able to tell us about personal experiences that our tour guide was never able to mention. The
memories and experiences we had are an example of intangible products. The tour guide and
locals really sold us a great experience that we could never buy at a store.
Our biggest tour of our vacation was our trip to Rome. We awoke very early to drive
from Naples to Rome. While walking from our parking spot we went through some of the lesser
visited areas where we saw Italian culture in full swing. My favorite part was being able to see a
group of kids, the same age as me simply playing soccer. Finally, we were able to get to the heart
of Rome. What surprised me the most, was that there wasn’t too many Italians. Everywhere we
looked there were tourists, many of them talking to local vendors which were clearly benefiting
from their business. Every vendor we passed showed hospitality spirit as they smiled and
beckoned us to come check out their items. Tourism has clearly had a huge impact on the Italian
economy. Almost every person we spoke to was able to communicate with us in English. I think
that it is great that we are able to personally experience different cultures and that the locals are
so willing to share it with us.

Just visited the Colosseo on my trip to Italy and it was amazing! Yeah it doesn’t look like the Colosseum in movies, but it is still a breathtaking place to visit especially since it’s so popular and I’ve read so much about it since 2^nd grade. Definitely wouldn’t miss it if the chance comes!

After learning so much about the ancient Romans and their ways for many years I was so excited to finally get to see the Colosseum in real life. It’s just as impressive as everyone makes out. Walking around the incredible structure and learning all about what happened there, it’s really quite amazing to stand in the spot where for centuries people have witnessed brutal violence. There is always a really long line to get in, but the line moves quite quickly. Definitely is much quieter in the winter months. Well worth a visit.

My travel buddies had booked a tour for € 55 euros that is three hours and covered the colosseo and foro palatino (palatine hill and Roman forum) with a guide.
If you get to the colosseo by 9 – 9.30, expect a shorter queue and buy tickets to both attractions for € 12. For an additional € 5 you can get an audio guide for the colosseo.
Not sure how to get the audio guide for the palatine hill and Roman forum.
Allow yourself at least an hour and a half to see the colosseo in its entirety. The audio guide is useful in terms of giving you information on the history, building materials, the games held in the colosseo, and points out certain structures within the colosseo. However, when you look at a structure it looks nothing like it did thousands of years ago. And that us because the colosseo had been damaged several times and reconstructed and with a donation of 2.5m only its north west wall had been reconstructed to look like the original.
I had to go read a book in the tourist shop to comprehend the fact that the entire battleground had disappeared and what I could see were the trenches/​trapdoor extra below the «stage».
Despite this, the colosseo is a majestic structure with 2 levels that you can walk through. You can see inscriptions of the senators initials on some of the stone and the viewing platforms. I recommend getting a book on the colosseo for before and after photos. There is also an affordable gift shop on the upper level. Must visit.

Of course I had to come here after watching Gladiator a dozen times, so I had to genuinely admit that it was a bit disappointing; no where as big as the movie made it to appear.
However, from a historical perspective, quite amazing how this was constructed using bare hands; without any cranes, forklifts, and pre-​fabricated materials.
The tourist souvenir shop near the exit, also a bit of a let down; small, rectangular shaped and not much selection. Even that what’s that name, Michealangelo, statue was way bigger.
Many areas were blocked off.
Our tour guide dropped us off for an hour, that’s plenty of time.,.Easy walk all around.
Amazed at how high some of these steps were, thank goodness for the railings. Wonder just happened in those days during a full crowd, on how they would move around in here.
For comparison purposes, it’s a lot smaller than a typical NHL/​NFL arena. Just don’t see how 50,000 fans could fit in here.

I’ll keep it brief as so many others have summed this up very well. It’s an obvious landmark. It’s kind of one of the tourist things to see when visiting Rome. I will say that the entire grounds is swamped with people and guys selling selfie sticks. I will say that at least this «attraction» is open later than most of the others but there are cut off times for admission so check before you go. I will also say that the lines can be extremely long at peak hours and you can plan to wait 1 – 3 hours in line to get in. Among the «self-​stick» guys there are other people interspersed trying to sell «skip-​the-​line» passes. I’m pretty sure about 90% of them are not actually valid, so watch yourself on that note. The other note to watch yourself on is with the huge amount of people that are gathered outside the Colosseum, the number of pickpockets increases and since there is a train station directly across the street, it’s easy for them to get away on the next train. So watch your purse and don’t be a typical tourist and be so focused on getting the best picture with your 2000 megapixel DSLR or whatever. Be aware of your surroundings.
I won’t go into so much depth about how awesome the inside is because you can see that in all the pictures but the inside is amazing and worth spending the time to navigate. Get a map and take your time as it’s uneven in places. They were doing a lot of restoration on the outside of the Colosseum while we were there, so it’s nice to see the money going to good use. I would also say purchase tickets in advance if you can.
If you get a chance while you’re in the area, go around to the side of the Colosseo that faces Via Labicana and head down to Via Labicana 95 to the Basilica di San Clemente (St. Clement Basilica) or search it on Unilocal.It’s a 12^th century church built on top of a 5^th century church built on top of Roman ruins. You can go down into the mazelike excavation area and see the remains of the remains of the 5^th century frescos and paintings, the Roman ruins, a house, warehouse, and other things & it very inexpensive to go.

What can i say? Beautiful! Everyone needs to come here at least once in their life. My hotel was in the center of the city by the Trevi fountain so this was a day trip. I made sure to pack snacks and spend most of the day around the Colosseum. The line to get inside wasnt too bad and I was able to get some good pictures of both inside and outside.
Just standing inside this old building was surreal. Outside, i bought some smarties and fanta from the peddlers (lol) then went to the cafes to grab some lunch. Definitely a must see!

Para escribir sobre Historia lo haría en la Wikipedia, así que mejor hablo de los aspectos funcionales: mi recomendación es comprar en línea la entrada que te permite saltarte la cola, porque como vayas en verano y tengas que ponerte detrás de toda la gente que hay, es probable que fallezcas de insolación y aburrimiento. Y hay que recordar que esta misma entrada permite el acceso a los Foros, no vayáis a comprar dos.
El interior es abrumador por la envergadura y la altura; en mi última visita había unos andamios montadas en la parte alta y obreros trabajando bajo el sol veraniego y me pareció lo más parecido a un infierno que haya podido conocer, más que nada porque si se desmayan y se caen, despertarse colgando de una línea de vida a esa altura no debe ser agradable.
También hay que recordar que en el interior hay más cosas aparte del propio edificio: un mini-​museo que explica los usos y costumbres de sus usuarios, una librería con un surtido ad-​hoc, y los hipogeos que, por desgracia, solo se pueden ver con una visita guiada.
Sea como sea, lo mejor que puedes hacer antes de ir es empaparte bien de todo lo que aquí pasó para imaginártelo bien cuando estés in situ; cualquier otra posibilidad hará que no lo disfrutes y solo sea un hito en el camino para comentar tristemente tras tu regreso al mundo real.

One of the most amazing landmarks indeed. You have to visit the inside of this place to see for yourself, hear the stories and feel the energy that still makes this an amazing tourist attraction. You have to walk a lot in Italy but this stop is totally worth the pain.

This place is phenomenal. They are slowly restoring it, but they are not losing its charm. There are stores tucked inside of it, but it does not take from the sheet amazingness of it. You honestly would never realize that there is a bookstore tucked into it.
I did not have to deal with lines because I booked with Dark Rome tours. That is worth it. You get to go into places that are normally accessible to the average patron.
It is difficult to put into words the grandeur.
There are some vendors but not as bad as some of the other Roman sites. I would say that you should pair this with the Roman Forum. They seem to go hand in hand with their history.

I agree, the street vendors and Roman’s in costume charging for photos. Why does everything have to be Vegas-​ized in this world? Can’t we let natural beauty speak for itself? Hence, the 4 stars. The Coliseum itself, 5 stars, duh!
Unfortunately I only got to see the outside as I was on a tour on the way to The Vatican but WOW, just seeing it with your own eyes was stunning enough. This huge, impressive structure was all built of concrete and stone and is the largest amphitheater ever built. Nuts. So much history.
The fact that it’s stunning even as it’s partially ruined by mother nature and absurd «stone-​robbers» speaks volumes. I can’t imagine the energy and spectacle when this place was filled back in the day. Obviously I don’t agree with everything that went on here but I sure do appreciate the love that went into this architecture. Something to definitely see with your own eyes.

Came by through here the daytime in Rome.
This Colosseum is just massive and has so much art surrounding the colosseum with a very short walk to discover.
Right off the road, without privacy the colosseum sits and is there for all to see from far away.
Many arches and gardens nearby to take photos or relax and watch.
It’s under construction as us most of the Italian landmarks, restoring what once was.

Die Sehenswürdigkeit der Superlative
Das Kolosseum ist für mich Die Sehenswürdigkeit in Rom. Allein der Mythos, der dieses Antike Bauwerk darstellt ist überwältigend. Die Vorstellung von Gladiatoren, der Masse des Plebs oder Cäsaren, die hier ein und ausgingen. sind beeindruckend.
Allen das sind genügend Gründe um sich in die Warteschlange zu stellen und vom Rum der Antike zu träumen. Ich habe das Kolosseum zum dritten Mal besucht und finde es immer wieder sehr beeindruckend

Le lieu incontournable de Rome … Ses dimensions sont impressionnantes ! Mais attention à la file d attente il y a du monde. Bön un petit truc: achetez le Roma pass et hop plus de queue on accède directement à l entrée.

We booked a guided walking tour of the Colosseo through Viator. The tour also included access to The Forum and the Palantine directly behind the Colosseo. Yes, you pay more and sometimes some tour guides aren’t as entertaining as others, but you get to skip the fat line to get in. Even that CityPass line was extra long. Time is worth more than money.
The Colosseo is huge and it gets stuffy in the enclosed inside portion of it. There’s a lot of stairs but an elevator for those who are disabled.
It was nice to look at, but I enjoyed more of the Forum. Sorry, I was just not into the whole Gladiator thing. But definitely agree with my Unilocal buddy Ken K. You can save money and get great shots of the Colosseo from outside. Since it’s a must see in Rome. There’s partial construction on it, but the beauty is all on the outside than more the inside. You can buy a separate ticket to see the Forum if you go this route.

My husband and I visited during our Italian dream tour with trafalgar last April. It was absolutely amazing to see in person.
The structure was in partial reconstruction at the time so not all the areas were allowed for visitors. Nevertheless, we got to roam around and enjoy the sites. There is a lot of walking so prepare yourself. Make sure to pack some water bottles and it is quite a lengthy trip and you want to make sure you hydrate yourself.
One more place checked off my bucket list :)

(Side note for all my BPB Unilocalers — I saw Marqus’ claim to fame on the Steve Harvey show a few days after my visit here… he isn’t wrong lol).
So, when in Rome you have to schedule a tour of the Colosseum, it’s pretty much an unwritten law, so of course I went above and beyond and scheduled TWO tours of the Colosseum, one at night, and one in the day, so I’m pretty much the leading expert on this place now (lol).
We did the night tour first, which really gives you an appreciation when you come back the next day to do the day time tour and you realize a) how much more «behind the scenes» you get to see at night and b) how awesome is it in the night tour to essentially be in here «alone» or at least not with a thousand tourists.
Sadly, I think you kind of have to shell out the money and do both tours. The night is awesome for all above mentioned reasons, but you don’t get the same pictures that you’d get in the day, so hence why you’ll need to return.
Our trip was in late September, so the end of the tourist season, and the place was busy in my mind. Our tour guide in the day did tell us that it was really uncrowded, so I can’t even imagine what it’s like in the height of the season, but it must be a zoo!
When you think back to the history of the Colosseum and everything that took place here, not to mention how old it is, you’ll have your mind blown. Truly a place worth visiting.

Naja ein muss wenn man in Rom ist aber …
Wir haben ein Audio Guide genommen die Markierungen an den Orten waren schlecht zu finden wo man den Guide aktivieren sollte (ich empfehle Video & Audio Guide oder ein Tour Guide) ohne Guide sieht man nur eine Ruine und keine Beschreibung oder sonstiges.

Mucho no se puede decir de este lugar lleno de historia y hace extremecer hasta al más fuerte. Básicamente a esta altura se tratan de sitios comerciales. Pagás la entrada, recorrés, te sacás la foto y te vas.
Yo ingresé como Prensa por lo que no pagué la entrada, aunque la misma no es tan cara.
Para llegar al lugar es recomendable bus y caminar, dependiendo la ubicación.
Para comprar la entrada del Coliseo+Foro, andá directamente al Foro y comprá las dos entradas allá.
Si hacés la cola en el Coliseo, (donde va el 99% de los turistas) vas a pasarte medio día haciendo fila, siendo que podés ir al otro lado y evitarte esto. (Tip que me dieron dos gallegos!).
Como toda obra de este tenor, está en mantenimiento, por lo que vas a ver hierros, mediasombras y demás elementos de construcción que obviamente te van a arruinar alguna foto.
Es totalmente imperdible para que grafiques lo que estudiaste durante años sobre el coliseo, las luchas al centro del anfiteatro Flavio y demás.

Parada obligada si estás en Roma. Se llega muy fácil con el metro bajándote en la estación con el mismo nombre. Hay dos formas de ingresar: hacer la siempre enorme cola o pagar 25 euros como hice yo para tener un pase directo skip the line porque fui en Agosto y el calor era insoportable.
Al ingresar ya se siente la enormidad del lugar, las galerías están llenas de información sobre la construcción del Coliseo hace 1935 años, la cantidad de muertos que hubo y otros datos super interesantes de todo lo que pasó en ese lugar. Al salir a los exteriores se puede ver las tribunas y la arena, en donde se daban los espectáculos.
Es super recomendable ir por la tarde, luego de haber pasado por el foro y el palatino por dos cosas: es un lugar abierto sin nada de sombra y cuando baja el sol es más agradable y por último porque cuando salen lo pueden ver iluminado y es hermoso.

Mais sinon ce n’est pas transcendant d’en faire la visite, j’aurais été un peu dégoûtée de payer 12 euros pour ça, surtout avec tous les touristes rivés à leur perche à selfie…

Entrar al coliseo es pisar la historia de roma… uno inmediatamente se transporta 2mil atrás en el tiempo.
Caminar adentro de este circo es genial siempre que voy a roma entro podría verlo mil veces y no me aburriria.
Uno puede ver en un mismo lugar la gloria y la decadencia de un imperio.

I went on a day when it was very rainy and it was still amazing.
They are doing construction on one side so there are a lot of rafters blocking the outside but it’s well kept and easy to get in and out.
Loved this historic landmark! A must see!

You can’t come to Rome without coming to Colosseum… This is one and only Colosseum in the world. So much history! Look at the architecture… amazing!
Just look at outside, you can admire this architecture for long time. Yes, definitely need to take lots of pictures!
When you walk in, climb up the stairs… OMG! It is massive! You can stand at any angle and you can get a good view.
** They sell admission tickets to both 3 places, Arch of Constantine, Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Go to the ticket office at Palatine Hill because shorter line. DO NOT go to Colosseum ticket office because the line is super long. You can get the same tickets at any ticket offices.

Qué decir, es imponente, hermoso, no se, todo. Me encantó, mucho más de lo que esperaba. Estuve tres días en Roma, dos fui a visitar el Coliseo. A ese nivel.
El primer día recorrí sus alrededores sin entrar, había muchísima cola (es así siempre). Las inmediaciones también son preciosas, el Arco di Constantino y la Via di San Gregorio. Ahí hay tipo parquecitos donde las novias se sacan fotos para su casamiento, con el Coliseo de fondo. Nada mal. Llenísimo de turistas sacando fotos y PELICANOS. 100% verdad.
Lo están remodelando y pierde un poquito de magia, es cierto, pero no nos pongamos en exquisitos. No deja de ser EL COLISEO ROMANO.
Consejo recontra re mil útil que a mi me ayudó a poder conocerlo por dentro: Si en vez de hacer la cola enorme para entrar al Coliseo hacen la que está al costado y primero entran por el Foro Romano, la cola se reduce terriblemente (literal tardé 15 minutos en entrar contra horas de cola) y la entrada (12 euros) les sirvé para visitar Coliseo — Foro — Palatino.

Je vous l’accorde, Rome est une pépite, une merveille, et à force de voir de magnifiques choses, on oublie parfois à quel point le Colisée est un lieu complètement fou !
Non, je né ferai pas un point historique que j’aurais copier/​coller de Wikipédia, mais je vous conseille d’acheter un guide que j’avais quand j’étais petite avec les illustrations de Rome tel que les monuments étaient à l’époque, et de lire quelques descriptions pour se rendre compte de l’architecture folle, et de ce qu’il se passait ici !
Bön plan: vous achèterez surement un billet vous permettant d’aller au forum et compagnie, donc achetez le sur internet ou à l’entrée du forum pour éviter toute la fille d’attente au Colisée

No sé que agregar, el Coliseo es increíble por donde lo mires. La estructura está intacta para los 2500 años que tiene, y la organización que se encarga de su cuidado está trabajando constantemente para que las visitas sean de lo mejor.
Al llegar la cola es larga, pero avanza rápido. Noten que hay dos colas, una para los que ya han comprado el ticket, y otra para adquirirlo ahí. En la puerta hay miles de personas que dicen que son guías oficiales del Coliseo, y tratan de venderte el tour. No les compren. Cobran $ 25 por persona, cuando la entrada sale $ 12 (incluye entrada al Palatino y al Foro Romano), y el tour que ofrecen en las boleterías sale $ 5. (Junio 2015).
El ticket regular sólo cubre PB y los primeros niveles del Coliseo, para acceder a la terraza o para ir a los pisos subterráneos, hay que sacar tickets específicos, que recomiendan sacarlos con anticipación por Internet. Cuando digo con anticipación, me refiero a 3 meses antes.
Hay tours todo el tiempo, si pueden elegir entre hacerlo en español o en inglés, elijan español. Los grupos son mucho más reducidos que en los de inglés, y los guías hablan perfecto. La guía que nos tocó fue súper puntual, muy atenta y tenía siempre una respuesta para las preguntas que hacíamos. Además, al ser sólo 5 avanzábamos mucho más ordenados y rápido. Duran 45 min. aprox.
Al salir del Coliseo, pueden cruzar la calle para ir al foro y al Palatino, que están incluídos en la entrada. Si no tienen tiempo en ese momento, pueden volver al día siguiente, la entrada vale por 2 días.

Das Kolosseum in Rom ist ein der Haupt-​Sehenswürdigkeiten bei einer römischen Städtereise! Muss man gesehen haben! Hab ich — Haken dran!
Okay, ich war NICHT drinnen, weil mir der Eintrittspreis (€ 16 inkl. Forum Romanum) einfach zu viel war und die Zeit für eine ausführliche Besichtigung an einem verlängertem Wochenende einfach zu kurz für alles war.
Wir sind einmal außen rum gelaufen und haben viele Fotos gemacht, es war schon schön anzusehen, aber mein persönliches Highlight war es nicht.

Eines der Bauwerke, die man gesehen haben muss.
Die Eintrittspreise sind schon etwas hoch — aber unter 18 Jahren zahlt man keinen Eintritt, 18 – 24 Jahrige zahlen in etwa 7 – 8 Euro und die Ü24 Leute etwa 12 – 14 Euro.
Seit 2007 gibt es sogar Toiletten im Colosseum.

Ideal el audio tour. Ojo con las escaleras por que hay ascensores. Ideal para día con sol.

Évidemment si vous venez à Rome, il vous faudra visiter cette incontournable.
Mais pour profiter au maximum de cette visite, voici mes conseils:
— réserver en ligne votre billet pour utiliser les coupes-​files.
— visiter en premier dans la journée le Palatin-​Forum et terminer en fin de journée par le Colisée.
— si vous n’avez pas réserver, préférez prendre votre billet au Palatin à l’entrée via di San Gregorio, il y a souvent moins de monde (cette astuce est moins vrai en juillet et août car là il y a toujours du monde).

Arrivée au Colisée par le métro, on a une vue direct sur celui ci. Imposant et prenant. Par contre une foule hallucinante ! Les guides touristiques vous accostent toutes les 30 s et les marchands ambulants sont bien présents aussi ! Visite à faire absolument car c’est chargé d’histoire. Je conseille de commencer par le palatin et le forum pour finir en beauté et tranquillement avec le Colisée. Autre conseil: Réservez à l’avance avec un billet pour les trois sites car vous passerez en VIP devant tout le monde sans faire de queue ! C’est génial!

À voir à Rome ! Comment né pas aller voir/​visiter le Colisée de Rome. Pour 12 €, plein prix pour adulte, vous pouvez visiter l’intérieur du plus grand amphithéâtre jamais construit de l’Empire romain datant de près de 2000 ans, c’est quand même quelque chose de pouvoir toucher à l’Histoire d’aussi près que ça. On né peut pas visiter et accéder à 100% du Colisée, mais on peut quand même se promener et faire le tour de celui-​ci. On peut y voir aussi quelques artefacts + expositions. Très populaire lieu touristique, il y aura forcement beaucoup de touristes, vous né serez pas les seuls. La station de métro ‘Colosseo’ est située juste à côté, très pratique. Bonne visite !

Bueno el coliseo es todo un mito, todos lo conocemos así que no puedo decir mucho.
Lo que no me gusta es que lo están remodelando y esta quedando demasiado nuevo :(

Le Colisée. LE Colisée ! Qui fait maintenant parti des 7 merveilles du monde, et il le mérite bien. C’est impressionnant ce que les hommes peuvent batir, ici en 8 ans, pour permettre au peuple d’oublier leur misère. Quel malin l’empereur.
Evidemment si vous passez par rome, né le loupez pas, c’est superbe, mais plutôt blindé, et blindé de selfie addict aussi.
Nous, nous avons pris une guide francaise, marianne, et c’était fortement sympathique et plus agréable a visiter, plutôt que des audios guide (16e€) ou vagabonder sans trop savoir ce qui s’y passé.
car avec le roma pass, la guide c’est 15 € par pers.
Donc voila on y a passé tranquillement la matinée, sans faire la queue grâce a la guide, car vous la trouvé a l’extérieur du colisee.
et fan d’histoires sanguinolentes, c’est l’endroit rêvé.

Exceptionnel monument, Le Colisée est l’édifice le plus représentatif de l’image de Rome.
L’arrêt de métro «Colloseo» dépose juste à ses pieds. Il en coute environ une dizaine d’euros pour le visiter seul si la visite est vraiment exprès mais des forfaits permettent de cumuler avec d’autres monuments de la ville et pour moins cher. Il ouvre ses portes au public dès 8h30 et selon les saisons, le reste jusqu’à 18h00.
Les files d’attentes au nombre de deux peuvent faire penser à de longues minutes de patiences. Bien sur tout dépends de l’heure à lequel on décide de s’y rendre mais finalement le trafic s’effectue assez rapidement, davantage si l’on a pris les billets en avance.
Une fois à l’intérieur de cet amphithéâtre, c’est une plongée instantanée dans la Rome antique. Même partiellement détruit, on s’imagine aisément dans les gradins, assisté à des spectacles comme à l’époque avec les fameux combats de gladiateurs. Le parcours s’étend sur deux étages et il est même possible d’en voir les sous sols, sections qui étaient autrefois caché.

Magnifique ! Incontournable lorsqu’on visite Rome !
Pour 7,50 avec le Pass Roma: Colisée + Palatin + Forum Romain !! Vous en prendrez plein les yeux tout simplement !
Si vous avez de la chance et qu’il fait beau, allez-​y à l’aube (8h30 ouverture) nous étions une cinquantaine dans le Colisée, c’était parfait !!!

Und wieder ein negativer Beitrag. Es hätte so schön sein können.
Wie überall in Rom gibt es keinen Hinweiß auf einen Eingang.
Lediglich die Schlange lässt vermuten wohin die Reise geht.
Dann das Problem: ich habe einen Roma Pass, aber wo ist die VIP Schlange? Gibt’s nicht. Auf fragen, wieder einmal fragen, wie überall wo es keine Hinweisschilder gibt, wird nur gesagt das es zu viele Menschen sind die heute ins Colloseum möchten.
Ja klar, wie konnte ich nur glauben, das das normal sei hier? Sonst möchte das Teil bestimmt keiner sehen.
Ich kämpfe mich also durch die Schlange für alle, bis ich feststelle: ah, eine Schlange geht vorbei, und als ich näher hinsehe, stellt sich heraus das es eine spontan gebildete VIP Schlange ist.
Also komme ich gut rein. Als ich an den Menschenmassen vorbei gehe, die Ernüchterung. Man ist das klein. Genau wie das Äußere enttäuscht mich das Innere.
Ganz nett und in Bezug auf das Alter durchaus ok. Aber diese ganzen Menschen, die Tatsache das mal wieder gebaut wird und das man eigentlich mit herumliegenden Steinen kaum was anfangen kann ernüchtert mich.
Beendet wird der Besuch dieses Gebäudes prompt: mit einem Regenschauer…

Ich habe das Kolosseum mal wieder von innen besucht und war bislang jedesmal begeistert. Man braucht nur leider Geduld am Ticketschalter. Dafür bekommt man für 12 Euro ein Ticket für Kolosseum, Forum Romanum und den Palatin Kinder unter 18 zahlen nichts.

Für mich DAS Wahrzeichen in Rom! Wer clever ist, kauft sich früh morgens ein Kombiticket am Forum Romanum für 12EUR. Der Eintritt ist für das Forum Romanum, Palatin und für das Coloseum. So erspart man sich langes an der Schlange stehen. Wir sind dann direkt zum Coloseum und konnten direkt rein (vorbei an einer langen Schlange ;)). Am morgen ist es noch nicht so überfüllt, im Verlauf kommen dann viiiiele Reisegruppen. Aber da waren wir schon durch ;) Wenn man in Rom ist, muss man das gesehen haben.

Muss man hier gewesen sein oder nicht? Das ist hier die Frage, und die läßt sich einfach mund abschließend mit Ja beantworten, unter der Voraussetzung dass man sich für Geschichte und die Funktionalitäten dieses grandiosen Bauwerkes interessiert. Es ist wie vielöes andere hier eben ein Stück Weltgeschichte, von der man sich begeistern lassen kann, wemm man die Augen eines Sehenden und nicht die eines Touristen der auf kaputte Steine und totes Inventar blickt!
Leider vergessen die Italiener an den meisten Standorten Geschichte für ihre Besucher erlebbar und anschaulich darzustellen, und ob Führungen in Massengruppen besser geeignet sind, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Und dennoch unbedingt anschauen und vor dem geistigen Auge das Alte Rom wiederauferstehen lassen!

Evidemment, je me vois mal critiquer ce haut lieu historique romain! une institution! une construction extraordinaire! cependant, pour qui connaît Arles ou encore Nîmes, nos deux vestiges romains français n’ont aucunement à rougir, peut-​être que l’effet Colisée se trouve un peu amoindri si l’on a déjà parcouru les gradins de Nîmesamis profs: n’oubliez pas votre pass educ, vous serez en tarif réduit!
je conseille d’aller à pied vers le colisée en passant par le forum, vous y verrez trois cartes en pierres sur un mur retraçant les conquêtes romaines: très instructif!

Halt das Wahrzeichen von Rom und das seit über 2000 Jahren, wer oder was kann das von sich behaupten?

Absolut beeindruckendes Bauwerk!
Das darf bei einem Rom Besuch nicht fehlen.

El símbolo por excelencia de la capital italiana, un lugar que evoca una historia y una civilización impresionante. La imaginación no puede dejar de trabajar y, sobre todo, lo mejor es no pensar en los turistas y disfrutar todo lo posible y más. Los accesos están bastante bien gestionados para que vaya todo más o menos fluido, y el interior, pues no te esperes una belleza, sino el esqueleto de lo que antes fue un gran imperio. Hay que ir y pensar en lo que fue, en cómo fue, y en cómo increíblemente todavía se ha conservado gran parte. Sin duda alguna una joya histórica y una de las grandes maravillas construidas por el hombre. Es un buen sitio para hacer unas vacaciones con tu familia, para llevar a tus padres, ese regalo que le querías hacer a tu madre. Además, el entorno es muy apacible, sinceramente, una gran tarde te espera ¡siempre y cuando no te agobien los turistas!

Incontournable ruine de Rome, la grandeur Historique du Colisée restera un symbole pour l’Italie.

Impresionante, todo la localización dentro de Roma, la conservación, la historia que tiene y el pensar yo he estado ahí en ese pedazo de historia. MADRE MIA, no me importaría volver y le aconsejo a todo el que planee un viaje a Italia que se acerque a verlo.

Muss man einfach sehen. Ich gehe gerne rein und Stelle mir vor, was sich dort vor knapp 2000 Jahren abgespielt hat, und was davon nun immer noch übrig ist. Auch die Zeit in der das Collosseum eine verwachsene Ruine war, fasziniert mich. Wie muss das Leben neben dieser Ruine gewesen sein

Dieses Bauwerk hat mich schon lange, bevor ich es bei einer Städtereise dann endlich in natura gesehen habe, beeindruckt. Als ich dann davor stand, hat es meine kühnsten Erwartungen noch übertroffen.
Wenn man es von innen besichtigt, in den Gängen wandelt und es von verschiedenen Seiten betrachtet, fühlt man sich sofort in die Zeit der Römer zurückversetzt. Die dazugehörige Ausstellung lässt die Vorstellung von Gladiatoren, wie sie gekämpft haben und wie sie sich in den Katakomben bewegt haben, wach werden.
Am Kolosseum kommt keiner, der Rom besucht, vorbei. Man muss es einfach gesehen haben (und man kann es auch kaum übersehen).

DAS Highlight in Rom für mich!
Ich mache hier keine großen Worte schaut es Euch an, wenn Ihr in Rom seid und lasst es auf Euch wirken. Ich habe jede Sekunde genossen!

El monumento mas conocido en todo el mundo de la ciudad de Roma. Impresionante por fuera y por dentro. Numerosisimos visitantes, pero si posees la Roma Pass no tienes que esperar colas. Por dentro grandioso aunque no es lo que uno se espera.

Lugar donde morían los antiguos cristianos, ahora convertido en monumento.

Ein wirklich atemberaubenes Bauwerk! Vor allem am Abend sieht das Kolosseum sehr schön aus. Die Warteschlangen sind sehr lang, allerdings weiß ich nicht, wie lange man anstehen muss, da wir einen Quickpass hatten und sofort reinkamen.
Im Inneren kann man eine Menge Fundsachen begutachten und wenn man oben ist, hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf die alten Gemäuer. Leider sind die Plattformen stets überfüllt, so dass man etwas Geduld mitbringen sollte, wenn man schöné Fotos machen möchte.
Vor dem Kolosseum hat man die Möglichkeit sich mit Gladiatoren fotografieren zu lassen, aber vorsicht: Sie zerren einen Quasi zu sich um Fotos zu machen und wollen im Anschluss 10 Euro dafür haben. Aber im Urlaub kann man das gerne mal machen ;)

Le Colisée est un monument chargé d’histoire et d’émotion. Lorsqu’on pénètre ce haut lieu de Rome, on né peux s’empêcher d’imaginer les différents jeux du cirque, les duels de gladiateurs et la foule dans les gradins.
Le soir, les différents éclairage donne une atmosphère complétement différente à ce monument majestueux.
C’est un monument grandiose incontournable de Rome ! A né manquer sous aucun prétexte !

Ein Muss für Rom-​Touristen, und der Roma-​Pass macht den Besuch einfach, weil man an der Ticket-​Schlange vorbei den Gruppeneingang nutzen kann. (Danke für den Tipp aus einer früheren Bewertung — funktioniert toll!) Auch die Empfehlung, sich den Audio-​Guide zu leisten, kann ich nur unterstreichen; die Dinger haben eine Kopfhörer-​Buchse und funktionieren trotzdem noch mit der Wiedergabe, so dass bestenfalls drei Ohren gleichzeitig mithören können. Das spart :-)
Einziger Wermutstropfen beim Besuch: Es fühlt sich an, als ob 50.000 Inhaber eines antiken Sitzplatzes gerade im Gebäude sind, will sagen, dass es VOLL ist (mit 25 LLLLLL). Abzug gibt es dafür nicht, die Alternative wäre nämlich längeres Anstehen, und wer will das schon.

Une très belle visite, le soleil y était un peu pour quelque chose, mais magnifique monument, avec beaucoup de charme. Très belle vue sur l’Arc.
Assez ludique pour les enfants, avec la présence de centurions devant pour faire les photos souvenirs.

IMPRESIONANTE, no puedes ir a Roma sin visitar este monumento.
Mi recomendación es que lo hagáis con visita guiada dentro del coliseo y si no podéis hacerlo alquilad una audio guia para saber lo que estáis viendo en cada momento. No os recomiendo para nada las visitas guiadas que os ofrecen fuera del recinto ya que muchos guias no son titulados y como te descuides te clavan en el precio.
Si vais a Roma no olvidéis comprar el Roma pass que te permite entrar a varios lugares de turistas, el precio ronda los 20 € (si no lo han subido). Con este Roma passa es con lo que entré al recinto, la entrada ronda los 10 €, no lo recuerdo.
En cuanto al recinto lo dicho, es impresionante como se pudo hacer esa construcción hace tanto tiempo y que aun aguante en pie.

O Coliseu, também conhecido como Anfiteatro Flaviano, deve seu nome à expressão latina Colosseum (ou Coliseus, no latim tardio), devido à estátua colossal de Nero, que ficava perto a edificação.
Localizado no centro de Roma, é uma exceção entre os anfiteatros pelo seu volume arquitetônico. Originalmente capaz de receber aproximadamente 50 000 pessoas era usado para variados espetáculos.
O preço da entrada é de 9 EUR.
Entrada livre para membros de UE menores de 18 e maiores de 65 anos.
Pode-​se também pode comprar o ROMA PASS: 3 dias de visitas livres pelos mais importantes museus da cidade + transportes publicos.

Ciertamente es una maravilla, aunque apenas quede su estructura de piedra es una obra impresionante, porque con tan pocos recursos como se tenían antes (tanto material para construir) que dure tantos años, siglos, milenios, es alucinante

Belo lugar, como disse o amigo acima todo turista que se preze tem que ir sim, o transporte é facilitadíssimo, o nome da estação é esse mesmo. E o preço bem barato de 10 Euros. Recomendo

Ein beeindruckendes Gebäude mit einer beeindruckenden Geschichte — das beschreibt es wohl am besten.
Wir haben uns das Colosseum von innen und außen angesehen. Besonders gut hat mir (neben dem Bauwerk) der Audi Guide gefallen. Dieser erklärt wirklich detailliert die einzelnen Plätze und die Geschichte dahinter.
Mir hat es wirklich sehr gut gefallen und auch von der Organisation (Wartebereich zum Einlass, Audio Guide, etc.) war ich angetan.

Die Menschenmenge vor dem Kolosseum hat uns erst abgeschreckt uns überhaupt dort anzustellen. Wir sind mehrmals täglich dran vorbei gelaufen, aber immer war’s total voll. Aber an unserem letzten Tag in Rom, war dann weniger los. Ich nehme mal an, dass viele Touristen zum Vatikan gepilgert waren :) Na jedenfalls hatten wir am Sonntag Glück, der Eintritt war nämlich frei! Auch für das Forum Romanum. An der Kasse mussten wir uns dann aber dennoch im Kolosseum anstellen, um unsere Freikarten zu erhalten. Die Wartezeit betrug lediglich so knapp 10 Min., war also absolut erträglich. Nur die Hitze oben im Kolosseum selbst nicht so wirklich :) Den gläsernen Aufzug fand ich toll, so mussten wir wenigstens nicht die Treppen nutzen, denn ich hasse es Treppen zu steigen :)
Beeindruckend, wie groß das Kolosseum ist! Von Außen ist es aber besser erhalten, als Innen, schade. Aber man kann sich noch so richtig vorstellen, wie dort Gladiatorenkämpfe stattgefunden haben.

Das für mich beeinduckenste ist, das sich dieser Bau fast 2000 Jahre in einer Weltstadt gehalten hat. Denn in anderen Städten hat man solche Bauwerke leider fast alle geschliffen und drübergebaut.
Soweit ich mich noch erinnern kann, war ganz in der Nähe eine U-​Bahn Station.
Ein Fixpunkt für einen Rombesuch.

Si se quiere entrar lo mejor es hacerlo con una visita guiada. Antes de entrar suele haber mucha gente ofreciendo visitas guiadas (en japonés, inglés, italiano aunque en español no había muchos guías), sin embargo, mi recomendación es esperar y contratar la visita guiada dentro del propio colisseo ya que los guías que están fuera algunos ni siquiera son titulados, son simples italianos que buscan sacarse unos eurillos, mientras que si los contratas directamente en la taquilla del colisseo te aseguras que son guías titulados y reconocidos. Además, te dan una especie de walki-​talkie por el que oyes a tu guía, de manera que mientras ella este fija en un sitio tu te puedes mover por la zona mientras escuchas lo que cuenta.
La entrada creo que cuesta unos 9 €, aunque yo tenía el Roma pass, que te permite la entrada a algunos lugares turísticos de Roma. A la hora de entrar hay que andar con ojo ya que hay 2 filas, la de aquellos que van en grupo o visitas guiadas (contratadas antes de entrar) y la de los visitantes individuales, los que van por su cuenta y contratan la guía dentro. Esta última fila suele ser más rápida, sin embargo, es difícil encontrarla yo recomiendo que se busque, que nos ahorrará un gran tiempo de espera!

Maravillosa construcción, aunque por dentro pensé que seria mejor, ya que a penas no quedan nada, aunque está bastante conservado para los años que tiene. Nunca está demás visitar el coliseo si uno pasa por Roma.
Dentro de coliseo hay un museo con restos arqueológicos, todo muy bien. Las medidas de seguridad son bastante altas, lo que puede garantizarte la seguridad dentro de sus instalaciones.
es bastante extenso y para visitar bien el coliseo necesitas un par de horas, aunque si no se vivista por dentro no pasa nada. A penas queda nada del anfiteatro.

Pedacitos de historia en pleno centro de una ciudad bulliciosa como es Roma como bien dicen por ahí, dentro poco queda en pie, pero una visita guiada nunca viene mal para saber qué es lo que estamos viendo y, sobre todo, por qué se encuentra en ese estado!

Impressionante, yo fue uno delos últimos monumentos que visite en Roma y sin duda lo mejor, Roma por lo general me defraudo, ya que me parecio que todo estava un poco dejado, pero el Colyseum es espectacular, cuando entras a dentro y ves la construccion las gradas, te cuesta imaginar como se lo icieron para realizar semejante obre en esa epoca, es sin dudarlo lo mejor de Roma. Advertencia escoged bien el dia y la hora de visitarlo, siempre hay eternas colas para entrar

O coliseu é um dos pontos turisticos mais famosos de roma e um lugar que qq turista TEM que ir. Para chegar no Coliseu, o turista conta com uma otima rede de transportes. Onibus passam no local, e o metro tem uma estaçao que sai bem em frente ao coliseu (se nao me engano o nome é colosseum, que é coliseu em italiano). O preço para entrar é em torno de 10 euros, e voce ainda pode pagar um pouco a mais e levar uma especie de gravador que conta a historia do coliseu. Local muito bonito, vale a pena conhecer.

Lo primero que debes hacer antes de ir a ver el Coliseo es ‘resetear tu mente’. Olvídate de las películas que hayas visto porque al llegar podrías verte en cierto modo defraudado por ver una fachada que es un auténtico colador la razón?, pues que todos los materiales que embellecían la fachada exterior fueron arrancados quedando los agujeros de los anclajes a la vista. Una vez hecho esto podrás ir y comprobar que no podrás cerrar la boca del asombro de ver tan enorme monumento Impresiona desde fuera y desde dentro. Ten imaginación y piensa por un momento lo que debía ser aquello en los días de espectáculo, el bullicio, los gladiadores,… Roma y el Coliseo se necesitan, si desapareciera uno el otro también lo haría, dejaría al menos de ser el mismo

Impresionante salir de la estación de metro y encontrarte con este gigante delante, yo recomendaría no entrar en su interior porque es decepcionante practicamente no queda nada en pie.
