Waiter very rude to tourists… food is bad and expensive. They also charged 5 dollars for bread that the waiter didn’t even bring us.

Please avoid this place if possible. The food itself is not bad, just average. However, the price you pay for it is extremely high. For example, It is not possible that in such an average place and for a simple soda or a coffee you pay 6 euros. Next to it, the waiters are very rude. I guess since they have a high amount of clients, they do not care on offering a good service. This is also not good. They are hurrying you to ask for whatever you will consume, and when you are almost finished with your coffee, and without questions asked, the waiter will come to your table and throw at you the bill. There are many other places which are much better than this and much cheaper, and if not cheaper, at least the money is well spent. Again, avoid Universal Bar.

The waitress had a really bad attitude, we waited for a long time to order, the waitress has always been saying that she is coming but she never came, then we waited for another half an hour to get our food, I even took a nap! She is very disrespectful to tourists, And you can get very angry with her attitude and her words, we will never ever come back again. Also she charged the amount of the service fee on her own and put that into our check without saying anything, well when we ask for our check, it can’t be faster to come to our table.

FROZENFOODWARNING!!! Yes, you get a view of the Basilica while you eat, but the food is comparable to Lean Cuisine that didn’t quite finish in the microwave. If your stomach is growling and you’re desperate to quite the noise, prepare to pay 2 – 3 times the price plus a service tax for the food. A quick walk across the Tiber will cut your bill by ¾ and you have a 60−90% chance of a far better meal.

Never ever again. I didn´t have any high expectations while entering this place, but I also didn´t expect such a rude waiter. OK. This place is close to Piazza S. Pietro. So location is ideal. But that´s probably the only positive thing. OK, good coffee but where they haven´t a good coffee in Italy, right? It´s typical tourist restaurant. Give us money and get out. Tourists will always come so why bother to be nice, even a litle bit. Our waiter was arogant, not tolerant, probably xenophobic and he thought he is funny… nope, you are not. So if you can, avoid this place and find something better(it should be very easy).

TOURISTCOMINGTHROUGH! Yes, I admit I’m a tourist. I know nothing about the Italian culture or the food or the customs. Therefore, I will try and respect the way Italian people do things… but to be honest. the service here really sucked. There were not many people, but the waiter still acted as if I had brought a party of 10 on a crowded Saturday night. Choose a place to sit! What do you want! Order the ice cream! No no, you can’t sit outside. Um ok… I have come to realize that Italian people are loud and fast paced and all that… but really? I have a camera and I look like a tourist and all I want is some nice ice cream outside. But no no… I’m not allowed to sit outside with ice cream. Weird. He was so rushed I didn’t want to even bother asking why I can’t sit outside. The ice cream was fine… but I couldn’t enjoy it outside. I had to sit inside while the waiter watched us. And then when we wanted to pay he was suddenly missing. What fantastic service. Bah! Die Leute hier sind immer abhetzend. Wann mein Fruend und ich kam, war sie nicht so nett. Was mochten sie? WASWASWAS? SCHNELLSCHNELL! WIRHABENKEINZEIT!

Beware — a coke is 6 euro!!! My husband and I were«Hangry» at the moment, hungry angry, ha. All we had for breakfast was a croissant before going on our 4 hour tour of the Vatican Museums and St Peters. So of course when we were done, we wanted sometime to eat right away. This is located on the main road near St. Peters. Like everyone mentioned, this is a tourist trap. 14 euro for a pizza — it was decent, but over priced. and i just can’t get over the 6 euro for coke. crazy. Will definitely plan better next time.

Food is ok… Definitely a tourist trap being so close to Saint Peter’s Square. Marginal service. Was asked to give up our table right away after completing lunch while I was waiting for my spouse to come back from the restroom… It was about 2 minutes after paying the bill.

Located on the road between St. Peter’s and the Castle Sant’Angelo, it’s the main restaurant choice if you’re travelling down that major street. Great setting, good beer, very forgettable food — forgettable as soon as it’s served. I ordered the same fabulous Bucatini Amatriciana I had elsewhere a few nights earlier. The pork in this was terrible — mostly fat, with some pieces that were all fat. Worst pasta I had in Rome. But choices in this area are few, it was air conditioned, and the beer was cold. Good bread to. Hence three starts rather than two.
