Most unpleasant and aggravating experience in Italy. Waiter was extremely rude. We stopped in to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day of site seeing. After confirming with the hostess in Italian that we were only interested in refreshments, the waiter was visibly annoyed making comments under his breath. On the spot he raised the price of a glass of prosecco from what was stated on the menu. Then he tried to charge us for two additional dishes when we had clearly only ordered two glasses of wine! It was simply insulting.

We stopped by this little hole in the wall after braving the crowds of the Colosseum and walking back to our flat yesterday afternoon. What a great choice stopping in was. Our waitress was right there with menus, asking what we wanted and helping us with the translation. A table of ten walked in right after us so we quickly ordered a bruschetta to share, pasta carbonara for myself, and Pasta e’ fagioli for the lovely K, adding a bottle of water(it was not from the tap) and a bottle of house white wine. The wine did not come with a label, but it was quite nice given the price(9 euro) so can’t comment on the name of the product. The table of ten ordered, our wine and water were delivered, quickly followed by our bruschetta. While we enjoyed that starter, two large pizzas came out for the table of ten in record time. Our bruschetta done, that plate was cleared and our lunch arrived soon after. Both dishes were very good, well seasoned, plentiful and simply displayed which was what we had anticipated. Bread accompanied the soup, and all worked in great harmony. The décor could use a little sprucing up, but this is Rome and places such as this abound. This one set itself apart for us with the food, our waitress and the speed with which we were served. Will be back.

First day in Rome and took walk to acclimate ourselves. In the way back from the Coliseum we passed several restaurants but decided on Colonne simply because it looked cute. Small really nice restaurant. Staff was attentive and very friendly, house red wine was good and the menu was very reasonable and diverse. We chose pizza and very surprised by the size and quality of them. Highly recommended. Nothing negative and we will be back.

Stopped in late afternoon for some refreshments. Wine and beer are appropriately priced. We had a lovely time drinking al fresco and watching the street traffic. Staff was very friendly.

We arrived in Rome, and just started to enjoy the city. As we walked the side streets, we found this place. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and it was filled with locals. We decided to give it a try, and I am glad we did. The staff was very friendly, and the menu was diverse. The prices were reasonable. Eating in Italian restaurants is very different than American. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there is not the high pressure to get in and out. We ordered and had a great meal. We stayed in Rome for a week, and tried several different places. We came back here more than once because of the service and the food. There was nothing negative about this place and I would encourage anyone to eat here.

Warum das Restaurant unter Imbiss hier geführt wird weiß ich nicht. Ein kleines, aber sehr nettes Restaurant in der Via Dei Serpentini, nicht gerade einfach zu finden, aber es lohnt sich

Gross! We ordered a bottled water with our pizza and it was refilled from tap water. The water was 5 euro to boot! I should have known when they brought it to the table already opened. Most restaurants open it at your table. I spat out my first sip as I could clearly taste the difference. Pizza was fine, not the best but not the worst.

For an italian restaurant in rome italy, what a disappointment. The pomodoro sauce taste like it came from a jar. We spent 10 days across italy eating in smaller inexpensive restaurants having spectacular meals. We hoped for a good meal our first night in rome, and stumbled across this place. Should have gone elsewhere.

Came here because it was late at night and we were starving. Even with that, usually anything would taste good, but for some reason, this place didn’t cut it. When we arrived around 10pm, there was a tourist family sitting outside, an Italian couple on a date, and an extended Italian family having a large group dinner in the back. They clearer were friends with the owners as they were mingling with them while the rest of the restaurant lacked attention and service. It took them a long time, even by European standards, to get us our water and bread. Once we finally got our food, my spaghetti Carbonera tasted poorly. I had thought they forgot about us, but it just took along time for there not hardly being anyone in the restaurant. We were happy to get out of there.
