Delicious food, great service, wonderful atmosphere, acceptable prices. We had a lovely dinner here and will be back. Great for families, friends, or couples. The gnocchi with truffles was to die for!

I personally want to give them one star because the experience was just so bad, but my family insisted that I not be too harsh because their dishes were tasty. My father got a steak, «beef with grilled vegetables,» which was basically fillet mignon, so of course it was delicious; my mother got the lasagna which was thoroughly enjoyed; my sister got a truffle gnocchi and we all thought that was pretty good. My other sister and I got salads(«grilled» chicken — which was sautéd, but that’s fine, and marinated salmon salads) and neither one was anything special. Just protein on a bed of greens. My issue was with the service. We ordered the caprese salad(which even on the menu said tomato, mozzarella, and BASIL) and they served it to us with arugula instead of basil — no warning that they were out of basil, which was an explanation that we had to ring out of them — they just served it and walked away. Then there was the waiter who tipped the plates he was clearing and rained the olive oil and mozzerella bits from the caprese ALLOVER my right side, on my dress, shoulder, arm, back and hair. A little, «woops, sorry» and shuffle away seemed to suffice as apology for him. So generally, a frustrating experience. Staff seemed rather dopey. The food was its redeeming quality though. You’re paying for food, not service.

Super cozy, super wine packed enoteca/taverna. They are building a subterranean taverna for the rowdier, sports watching set to unwind, but for now, they are a lovely, knick knacky wine bar and restaurant. The artichokes are life changing. The pasta just on the verge of TOO al dente, but wonderful; each that we tried was fantastic. Gnocchi with truffle(not too al dente!) carbonara, and a tomato eggplant sauce as well. Bruschetta sampler was okay, but tomatoes out of season always make me just a little bit sad, just because I know what they’re capable of. The pesto was really good. The owner is very nice, and very knowledgeable. This is a great spot to snuggle up and canoodle at one of the small tables by the windows up front, or celebrate something fun at a table full of friends. Dinner in Rome seems to pick up between 8 – 9, but they don’t linger. We arrived around 7:30 to a very quiet scene, which swelled to a crowd, and then emptied out, all while we were still sitting and sipping our wine.

Lovely place, good food and good service. Really well located between the Piazza Venezia and the Pantheon. Also near Fontana de Trevi. Free Wi-Fi!

How does one review a restaurant with impeccable food and wine but disorganized and poor service? With 4 stars, that’s how. The bad: Giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps it was an «off» day, but the service was awful. It took over 10 minutes to get our orders in(another family actually left before ordering) and they brought the main course out before the appetizers. The good: the food is the good. The house wine is the good. Absolutely delectable lunch, fresh ingredients, perfect balances of flavor. I would ship a case of the wine home if I had the means and time.

Gorgeous atmosphere. We were wandering around and found ourselves pulled in by the piano playing live in the gorgeously lit bar. After a terrible experience of getting fleeced in a restaurant and not really full, we sat down in the beautiful terrace and got ourselves some wine and a real gnocchi dish. The gnocchi ragu for 10.50 was tourstyly reasonably priced and reasonably tasty. The wine we had was good(6EUR each). They also charged 2EUR per person for cover. Honestly it’s worth coming here at night and just having a drink. Our pretty little server was quite wonderful. Side note, the place is facing a piazza and a pandering dude was playing saxophone next to our ears hoping that it would drown out the beautiful piano playing inside. It took a while before everyone on the terrace shooed him away. All a part of the experience I suppose.

Wonderful restaurant on the way from Trevi fountain to Piazza Navona. We went there for a dinner and it was definitely an excellent choice. Very, very nice service. Waitress was smiley, kind and willing. We sit in a garden which is small but very cozy. I also liked the wooden decoration inside. And the place is very clean including the bathroom. Meals were delicious(pizza, pasta, everything). And the wine list is pretty impresive so no compaints about that. And dezerts. Oh dezerts. So so good :-) I definitely recommned this place to visit.

Enoteca Capranica offers a proper pub-like experience just minutes away from Piazza della Rotonda. It’s tucked away off some obscure side streets, but is worth navigating to, whether you’re only in the mood for a pint or you’re hungry for a sit-down meal. I opted to stick to Roman classics, and the spaghetti carbonara(competitively priced at € 11) came as a heaping mound of egg-y al dente delight on a platter. Along with a small side of spicy and savoury chicoria to round out my meal, I was thoroughly sated well into the next morning. Their dinner service doesn’t start up until around 1930, and I arrived shortly thereafter to find a virtually empty restaurant. That didn’t last too long, as diners started to arrive in droves within an hour. Once the joint gets hoppin’, you may need to put some extra legwork into flagging down a server for your bill. And even then, making payment requires some additional effort as well. This seems par for the course when it comes to southern Italian eateries. Considering the classic rustic ambiance and caliber of cuisine… combined with a desirable location just steps from the Pantheon in Centro Storico, I’m surprise that Enoteca Capranica doesn’t charge exorbitantly more for their food. Though it’s far from cheap, it’s a solid value for the price, and well worth a visit if you’re playing tourist in Rome.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit moderaten Preisen. Es gibt hausgemachtes Brot, eine riesige Weinkarte und leckere Pizze. Für einen Zwischenstop Mittags oder auch Abends bestens geeignet.
