Well we just loved this place. Our waitress was from Naples and was very attentive. It can be busy usually a good sign of great food. Prices were great they have a buffet kinda set up but I would recommend the menu. Mussels where excellent. As was everything. Its not a totally upscale resturante but for the price great. Go early if you can to miss the crowds got decent wine and great beer. Desert was good and the main dishes excellent but we just ordered a lot of appetizers and kicked back and enjoyed the feast.

Das war leider mal nicht so toll. Wir haben uns leider von der hübschen Terrasse blenden lassen. Service und Essen konnten einfach nicht mit anderen Restaurants in Trastevere mithalten. Nachdem wir einem Tisch, der noch von den Voressern eindeckt war, zugewiesen worden waren, durften wir gut eine halbe Stunde darauf warten, dass wir bedient wurden. Ganz kurz waren wir davor, einfach zu gehen. Zum Glück ging es danach schneller. Die Preise sind fair, Wasser kostete 1, — ein Liter Wein war etwas günstiger als anderswo zu erhalten(7,50 statt 8,-). Primi kosteten 7 – 9, — Meine Lasagne war ganz lecker. Auch wenn ich Mozzarella zwischen den Schichten nach wie vor gewöhnungsbedürftig finde. Insgesamt kam aber das Essen nicht über Durchschnitt hinaus. Ich würde nicht nochmal herkommen. Es war relativ günstig, nicht schlecht, aber es gibt einfach zu viele gute Alternativen in nächster Nähe.

Not to be defensive, but I do want to stress that I tend to try to be a positive reviewer and not let little things get over blown. I realize that businesses are usually trying and I give them the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, I can only give this restaurant a mediocre rating as the service is really lacking! We went on a Thursday evening at around 8:00 pm and it was very busy so we knew that it might take a little longer, but we sat for 20 minutes and were just about to get up and leave before anyone came near us. The fixed price menu is a great deal, at 18 euros for the meat based selections and 20 euros for the fish, which included wine. However the wine tasted as if it had been watered down, and was just not good. This was the white wine so perhaps the red is better? I had the rigatoni with mussels to start and it was really delicious, but it was served with one of the mussels not having opened, and when I pointed that out to the waiter, he tried to tell me this was fine. It isn’t fine, and could be very bad if someone tried to open and eat it and ended up with food poisoning. I had the sea bass, which was really great and the rest of the family had salmon, which was good. The crème caramel was tasty, but the pane cotta was horrible, unfortunately they had run out of tiramisu. Given the area is filled with so many other options, I would only go here if you really understand the drawbacks.

Das ist eine nette kleine Trattoria und in diesem Stadtviertel gibt es keine schlechten Restaurants ;-) egal ob der Page im Hotel, der Taxifahrer oder irgend ein Römer, alle schicken dich in diesen Teil der Stadt wenn du kein Touristen essen haben willst ! Preis/Leistung sind hier so wie es sein soll !!!

This place has a really good tourist menu, provided that you get there before 7:30 pm. For 12 euro you can order a beverage(including wine), an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. The main courses include salad, pasta dishes, grilled salmon, roast pork, roast chicken, and pizza. There is enough variety that you can keep coming back. The food is very good.

EXCELLENT! This place is what you envision when you envision dining out in Rome. Located in the Piazza della Drago which is tucked away behind the main drag. My daughter and I each got the complete meal special for less than 20 euros each which included the pasta course, main course, desert and drink(we each got a 1 liter carafe of house wine included) as well as a bottle of Roman water and baskets of bread. We knew we were in the right place when we saw it was more than half full of local Romans out for a mid-week dinner. The BEST and most authentic meal we had in Rome. Actually… euro for euro the best value meal we had in all of Europe.

This place is really good! Super crowded, the people are really nice. It’s really cheap, and they give you free water. I ordered sea bass, and it was really good. The problem I had was with the water container which was notably grimey. Kind of freaky. The rest was great though, and the service was nice.

Price is really cheap, and the staff is friendly. Food tastes better than average american italian food, however this place has some hygiene problem, small toilet flies keep visiting our table and even on our dish. While the water is free, but with the cleaniness of this place, I’d prefer paid water. Like the other reviewer has mentioned, it’s a tourist trap because this place looks very busy in the outdoor seating, and the waiter actually told us this is the cheapest restaurant you can find in Trastevere. So pick your own decision. For budget traveller, this might be a good place, while for the others, there are still a lot of choices around the area.

I’m not sure why this had such low reviews(maybe because I am a tourist and I dont know better…) but I loved this place!!! The pizza was super large and very delicious! The staff was very friendly, and I would definitely go back! They served bread and still water FREE and the rest of the menu was super low priced and delicious. We got liter of wine for only 7 euro! and it was very good! I will definitely be back!!!
