Il Secchio e L’Olivar

I came here one night for dinner with a friend. We ordered pizza, bruschetta and some beer. Although the flavor of the caprese bruschetta toppings was decent, the bread it came on was tasteless and a bit burnt and gross. The beer was just as gross. The pizza was similarly disappointing (we got the basic cheese and then the mushroom). The dough was too thick and bready and had absolutely no flavor, the sauce was minimal and bland and the cheese tasted like plastic. Hands down, the worst pizza I have had in Rome and the worst pizza I probably have ever had period. Pizza for two, two pieces of bruschetta and a liter of beer set us back about 27 euros before tip.
Bottom line: Good service. Terrible food. Spend your hard-​earned euros elsewhere.
