This is a Chinese restaurant with extremely old interior in the heart of Monti. I am a regular at all the places around this place but never had been here so decided to give it shot(was in need for solid rice and soup). The wonton soup was literally the worst thing I have had in my life with absolutely zero flavor. The wontons were so small they were invisible and were hiding under a pile of «noodles». the soup also had a lot of lettuce which was a first for me but they also added to the taste of water. Knowing that I shouldn’t expect the world from a place like this I stuck to my basic, white rice and beef with green peppers in black bean sauce. The rice was awful, partially burnt. The beef was actually not bad, the typical soft Chinese style beef. Way too much chilly oil and the worst part was that part of the dish was cold. This is supposed to be a «sizzling plate» dish where they sometimes come out in one, which I don’t expect everywhere but at least the meat should be hot? The jasmine was the best thing I ordered but the tea pot and the cup was so dirty I had to do some thorough cleaning prior to drinking out of it. As an Asian person, I almost feel bad for the locals who actually come here with their family. I looked around and saw that they order dumplings and French fries and fried rice, which I can’t speak for… But this is very low quality food. This is also not the Chinese food standard of Rome since I’ve had much better Chinese in different parts of the city.

Food is tasty and the prawns were delicious. Items are reasonably priced and the service is OK. The menu selection is very large, so keep searching for your meal. Atmosphere is pleasant: cool off indoors during the warm summer days. ***Use CASH to ensure better pricing.***
