I really like this place, it’s very charming, which is why I’m giving it five stars instead of four. The food is good. It’s not next-level cuisine that will blow you away, but it’s a solid middle-eastern meal if you’re as tired of eating pasta and pizza every day as I was when I came here after a few days in Rome. Here’s what I had: 1) The kebab– perfectly solid, as you’ll find it in Germany or London or elsewhere in places that have large middle-eastern(and specifically Turkish) populations. Very reasonably priced anywhere at 4 Euros, but for a tourist trap location like Campo de’ Fiori it’s excellent. Pita was very crumbly, so even though it tasted good, it turned the kebab from a finger-food snack to a meat salad with breadcrumbs– a delicious one, but don’t get this to eat while walking around. 2) Dolmas– good, reasonably priced at 80 cents apiece. A fine appetizer. They also had versions that were rolled into I think lettuce or cabbage, which also looked good. 3) Rice«Kleopatra”– this was… interesting. Again, good, and in fact a great value at 4.50 Euros, but not very middle-eastern. In fact, it was almost an Italian take on Chinese fried rice, with tomatoes and peas and a *lot* of mussels and shrimp. A ridiculous amount for 4.50 Euros, in fact. So, I approve. 4) Soft drinks at half the price of other places in the area– the going price for a 330ml bottle of Coke in this area is 3 Euros, even in take-out places. Here it’s 1.50 for a 330ml can and 2 Euros for a 500ml bottle. The people working there are incredibly nice and attentive. I really hope this place succeeds, which is why I’m writing such a glowing review– it’s in an area that’s a bit hard to find because most people visiting Campo de’ Fiori don’t walk through the passage it’s on, it’s not offering the pizza and pasta almost everyone there wants, and it’s offering food at prices that are very low, which is only going to work with a lot of people coming through the doors. So, I’m happy to do my part and praise this place to the world.

European kebab has pretty much ruined American kebab for me. I have places like Le Piramidi to thank for that. Unassuming and perfectly poised off Campo de’Fiori square to snatch up drunken tourists in the wee hours of the night, Le Piramidi is a humble little hole in the wall, probably no different from dozens of others like it across the city. The open earlier than other places around here for lunch, too. Their doner kebab is perfect, made with freshly, thinly sliced lamb off the spit. Add a little bit of salad and tzatziki sauce, and be sure to request some spicy sauce too. Wrap it all up in a freshly toasted pita, and you’re ready to go. They also have other dishes(e.g., rice platters, couscous, falafel, sausages, baklava, etc.) that I remember being pretty good and decently priced. Make sure to grab a beer from the fridge(Protip: hide it in your bag if you’re gonna be drinking it off premises). It feels like an oven if you eat inside the store, so take your goods out to the nearby fountain or loiter in a side street. The employees are awesome and friendly here, and the prices are decent. What more could you ask for?
