In the US I have come to expect a certain level of respect when I come into a store like this to lay down this much cash. The staff was great and the merchandise is exactly as I expected.
However, one particular security guy seemed to have some unknown problem with me. I was followed through the entire store with my wife — who was carrying a Louis bag and wallet already, so obviously I’m a repeat customer — by a security guard who didn’t even try to hide it. He also kept his eyes on me, not discreetly, while I was talking to the salesperson and even while I was paying and walking out. I honestly don’t know what his problem with me was but it was offensive. It turns a typically 5-​star experience bad. I came back the next day and made a second purchase, and the same security guard treated me the same way.
That unpleasant business out of the way, the salespersons that I worked with were outstanding as always. The store was well laid out and had a great selection and a great location.
