This is a really amazing market. I almost did not go to this, but am very happy that I did. One thing that I will say is that all of the porchetta here seemed pretty weak. But, there is amazing sliced ham, cheese, olive oil, yogurt, etc. It’s right next to the Forum/​Colosseum, as you probably already know…

This is a super cool market — off the tourist beaten track. Great stalls, lots of samples. I fell in love with pistachio cream here.

Must visit this market when in Rome. Amazing pork sandwiches, cheese, black and white truffle products.

Some of the best meals you will ever eat will be from a farmer’s market.
I stumbled upon Mercato di Campagna Amica del Circo Massimo while looking for Bocca della Verità aka the mouth of truth. Italian streets intertwine and loop. As usual, I walked in circles and wound up lost. Well, Mercato di Campana Amica del Circo Massimo turned out to be the truth and Bocca della Verita became the second point of interest.
Fresh cheese, pastries, jams, cookies, prosciutto, you name it. They got it. I bought a porchetta sandwich for lunch. The real deal smacked in between two slices of artisanal bread. Layered with fragrant rosemary and other herbs and an abundance of crackly skin, it was as good as good gets.
This is a great market to pick up fresh meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Each vendor is friendly and extremely proud of their product. I’d recommend buying presents for back home here but truthfully, you’d end up eating the goodies in your hotel bed.
This market is only open twice a week (Saturday and Sunday) from 9 — 4 PM.

Mi sono imbattuto su Mercato di Campagna Amica del Circo Massimo, mentre cerca di Bocca della Verità alias la bocca della verità. Italiano strade si intrecciano e loop. Come al solito, ho camminato in cerchio e liquidazione perso. Beh, Mercato di Campana Amica del Circo Massimo si è rivelata la verità e Bocca della Verità è diventato il secondo punto di interesse.
Formaggi freschi, dolci, marmellate, biscotti, prosciutto, è il nome. L’hanno preso. Ho comprato un panino porchetta per il pranzo. Il vero affare sapeva tra due fette di pane artigianale. Strati con rosmarino e altre erbe profumate e l’abbondanza di pelle gracchiante, era buono come buono diventa.
Questo è un grande mercato per raccogliere carni fresche, formaggi e verdure. Ogni fornitore è cordiale ed estremamente orgogliosi del loro prodotto. Io consiglierei di comprare regali per tornare a casa qui, ma sinceramente, ci si finisce per mangiare le leccornie nel tuo letto hotel.
Questo mercato è aperto solo due volte a settimana (Sabato e Domenica) 9 – 4 PM.
