Really nice service. Friend and prompt. Came here around 8 pm and got seated right away. Had the carbonara and polenta and sausage. Delish. Would definitely come back

We were all starving and the restaurants we wanted to check out were all closed and we were tired of walking around and it looked like it had good reviews on Unilocal.4 stars? Really? First time Unilocal mislead me this bad. It must the vacation effect that makes everything taste amazing. The pizza tasted like it came from the frozen food aisle and the my carbonara looked and tasted like pasta with scrambled eggs. I can actually see pieces of scrambled egg in the sauce! It doesn’t really help them either that I just ate some perfectly cooked and delicious carbonara the night before. I would definitely not recommend this place especially when there are a ton of other options around with better food for the same price or a little more. Service was pretty friendly though and they give you a complimentary slice of watermelon after.

Really good, affordable food. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere next to the Pantheon and shops. Very hard to say anything negative about the place or the staff. This was one of the first places we ate at in Rome, and it set the standard. Free WiFi is also a bonus.

Had lunch here before going to the Pantheon. Nice outdoor seating, service was good. Nice place for a big salad if you are getting tired of pasta. However, the pesto gnocchi and the sausage polenta were both good as well.

This was a great stop. Really, good food — especially for the price. Bruschetta and penne arribiata were excellent. Prices were extremely reasonable without compromising the quality of food. Tomatoes were fresh and delicious. The service was quick and friendly. It did get busy over lunch, but they were able to fit us in.

Good value for pretty decent food — at least at lunch. One pizza can satisfy two hungry American tourists. The salads and spaghetti with clams plates we saw going by us as we waited for our meal looked good too. Again, the quality of the food is decent and the prices are really cheap which left me with a great impression. Two pizzas and a large bottle of water was 17 €. One pizza would have been fine.

We were in Rome last October and ate here after visiting the Pantheon. Both my husband & I had a wonderful time and great meals. The beer was good, the pasta was excellent, the sausage plate was really good and the service was excellent. We have been thinking about bringing my grand daughter here in June since she said she wanted to see the Pantheon. Found Miscellanea in the Rick Steves guide book and wasn’t disappointing.

Five nights in Rome and this was the worst meal we had. Poor service and the best thing about the food was the quantity(big portions). Would not recommend this place considering all the other great options in this city! They are also the only place we’ve been that refused to take credit cards.

We stopped here after seeing the Pantheon as a recommendation from a friend who knows the owner. We were going to sit inside but when he saw us at a table, he moved a table from inside to the outside for us. A REALLY nice touch! We ordered a couple of liter beers and a large water as we were really thirsty. We shared a brushetta and a pizza that were really good. The owner sent out desserts that were like tiramisu in a martini glass that blew our minds! A finishing after dinner drink also came and we loved it! This place is very popular so when you get there, plan to stay! You will not be sorry!

I went here a few times during my study abroad in rome. Right behind the pantheon. If you go with a group, you get a 4 course-ish(antipasta, two pastas, pizza, and dessert, with unlimited wine) deal for under 20 euro. Very nice staff, and relatively quick service. I recommend sitting outside.

Miscellanea is one of those places that you first are inclined to pass by, but if you are smart enough to make the decision to step inside, you are greatly rewarded! Located behind the Pantheon, the restaurant is among quite a bit of competition from other nearby«higher end» looking restaurants. However, is it just me, or does someone standing in front of a «high end» restaurant, trying to draw you in for your business, sort of turn you off? Seems to be a bit touristy to me. But I digress… Miscellanea doesn’t do this, and for good reason. The steady stream of locals into Miscellanea should be reason enough to enter. Given the excellent prices posted on the menu outside, even more reason. The staff were very friendly, the food very good, and the ambience what I would expect from a local Roman casual restaurant. Nice beer on tap and fantastic pizza! Not your«over sauced» American style pizza but seriously good thin crust, fresh ingredient pizza! Prosciutto crude, pesto, artichokes… mmm, mmm good! Highly recommended!

Hit and miss lunch at Miscellanea. First of all, great location behind the Pantheon and close to Piazza Navona. It’s touristy but there were a lot of local businessmen eating here as well. We started off sharing an artichoke and cheese toast. Awesome crispy and flavorful goodness! I could have ate about two or three more of these and called it a day. In fact, this would have been great with a salad. For the main event I ordered a seafood linguine. Eh… could have been a lot better. While they didn’t scrimp on the seafood component, they did scrimp on the flavor. Pretty blah. The service was fairly slow as the restaurant was pretty busy but at the end of our meal our waiter brought us a huge complimentary plate of watermelon and a couple of glasses of their specialty«strawberry» wine. The wine wasn’t as sweet as anticipated and actually pretty good. Apparently these were compliments of us having our Rick Steve’s guidebook on hand(Miscellanea is featured in the book). So while I would not order the seafood pasta, try a glass of the strawberry wine and one of their toasts.

My husband and I ended up at this restaurant by recommendation of the tour book. The restaurant gets busy in the later part of the evening and is right next to the pantheon which looks great at night. There’s also a gelato place right next door that’s open late. I liked my food which was a seafood pasta, my husband on the other hand at this time was tired of pasta and pizza and had the steak which was disapointing. We ordered turkey sandwiches(they ran out of mortadella) to go for the next day since we were going to Pompeii for the day and those were really good and juicy. They also served us what they call sexy wine, I recommend it that made our evening.

Wished we had working wifi and Unilocaled this ahead of time. It is a great location and the prices are fine — the two top reasons we picked it. But, unfortunately, it paled in comparison to every other meal we’ve had in Rome. Everything was just okay. It reminded me of a chain restaurant. The two best things were our server, who took excellent care of us, and the house white wine. Skip this restaurant. There are way too many good ones to choose.

Ordered the Cappiccio Salad and the Miscellanea Pizza for my wife and I. The pizza — «meh». I dont actually remember seeing the bazaar ingredients(processed lunch meat ham, canned kernal corn and whole olives) on the menu but it was utterly lousy! The salad… never came. The waiter although joyfully talking to all his local buddies, never once asked if we wanted anything else. I had to flag him down to finally say we were ready to go. When I told him the pizza was no good, that he forgot the salad, and we would have ordred more drinks had he asked, he shrugged his shoulders and said«It happens». ZERO stars for this debacle!

Great spot for pizza right behind the Pantheon. Outside(and inside) tables, good variety of beers, shade all afternoon, and excellent pizza. They advertise pizza on their doorway and that’s what just about everyone has. For good reason. Perfect Italian pizza. With the backside of the Pantheon as your view and lots of foot traffic going past.
