Great presentation, especially the seasonal vegetables.

Had lunch there since it was close to the hotel. It was mainly a business crowd. It got very packed. The food was good but it was a little pricey. I would avoid it for lunch and go for dinner.

The best meal experience We have had here in Rome. Do not hesitate treat yourself to an evening of culinary delight. The staff went out of there way to see that we enjoyed our meal. Excellent in every way. We will see them again the next time we are in Rome.

Unilocalers of the world unite — buy a ticket, fly to Rome and put Moma on the top of your list to visit(at least for the food). Yes, this place is just that good! This was a short walk from our hotel and turned out to be the best and favorite meals during our 2 week stay in Italy, which included stops in Venice, Florence, and Rome! We were completely blown away by the quality and presentation of each course. Each dish seemed better then the last. So creative with the flavors and ingredients. The Royal Foie Gras and Seared Beef Fillets were my favorite, but I doubt you could find a bad dish on the menu. Great wine list, excellent service and overall beautiful atmosphere. We noticed at least half of the patrons were local, which is always a good sign. Can’t say enough good things about Moma other than we plan to come back on our next trip to Rome. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Moderne italienische Küche, netter Service, gute Weine, äußerst lecker. Auch geeignet für Familien mit Kindern. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

The best meal we had in Rome! You need to make a reservation because a lot of business people bring guests to dinner here, but that’s always a good sign. :) Dinner will cost you between 55 – 100 euros for two, of course it always depends on what you order. I ordered a beef dish with a carrot salad and my husband a fried ravioli dish. Both of our dishes were amazing, and the service superb. I highly recommend eating here for the quality of food and the service. They also have a pretty good wine list and the waiters can help you select!

Beautiful restaurant. Exquisite food presentation. Delicious, creative, modern Italian food. Let’s see. We had a five course tasting menu for € 50 plus an amuse bouche and complimentary biscuits after dessert. We had cod carpaccio, seasonal vegetables, potato ravioli with ricotta, veal with fried capers and a tuna sauce, plus a fig dessert. Each course was a delight. I love it when I’m presented with new combinations of flavors that work. The food is both honest and intricate at the same time.

First class service and meal. Would go back. Be prepared to spend about 50 euro per person. But you will leave very happy.

Very impressive food, considering the location in the middle of multiple tourist joints serving mediocre food to giddy Americans. Sea urchin pasta, mushroom antipasto(containing fresh porcini, morels, and a delicious mushroom jelly among multiple other ingredients), ravioli, beef cheek — this is serious cooking, folks. We didn’t try the 45EUR prix fix which sounds like a great bargain. For desert, their rum baba is worth giving up your first born for. Great amuse bouches and small after-dinner nibbles are a sign of a generous and inventive kitchen. Don’t miss if you are in the area.

Used Unilocal to locate this place and it was good that I did so. The place is very intimate, well designed and clean. The food was fantastic — sophisticated, precisely done and delicious. The staff were only to eager to help, and practically hovered over us to make sure that we were happy. All in all helped a lot to create the romantic atmosphere needed for a couple’s visit to Rome.

We had the most wonderful dinner last night. We sat outside and were taken care of by Maurizo. He was so wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. The presentation was amazing and creative. Maurizo suggested the perfect bottle(s) of wine for dinner. One of the most enjoyable meals we have ever had!

For our last meal in Rome, we wanted to stay close to the hotel and have something light so we wouldn’t feel gross flying the next day. A wine bar seemed like a good idea. Moma was not really what we expected– it was more like trendy American cuisine with an Italian twist– a little bite of this, tiny vegetables, some smears of sauce. It was in fact very good, and can be light it you order right. Veal and sweetbread with artichoke Mixed vegetables– tiny carrots, onions, and those cool twisty cauliflowers. It had cocoa powder around it to look like a garden. Didn’t really taste like cocoa. Lamb ravioli with artichoke– it had fried and puréed artichoke. So good Cacio pepe Lamb Fish of the day(sea bass) & mixed vegetables– kinda similar to the appetizer. I wish they had warned me; probably wouldn’t have ordered both.

We came for aperitivos(Italian tapas). As we approached the bar, the bartender said the restaurant is not open but he had aperitivos ready to be served. The aperitivo were display and he heated some up as well. We received a variety of 5 aperitivos. Two of them were mini sandwiches stuffed with cheese & mushroom, and another with anchovies & cheese which gave it a salty kick. We also ate chips, olives, and a fried delicacy. Locals would just drop by and get an espresso and go on their way at this time. We also indulged in espresso, tea, and cookies. Their selection of desserts was displayed at the bar and such a variety. The aperitivos hit the spot and we left happy. Happy to spend time in this local joint.

Wow! I second Brett P with the best meal in Rome comment. This place has it all; great little coffee/wine bar downstairs and perfect, intimate restaurant upstairs; both with excellent service. Our servers were able to recommend the perfect wines that paired well with our dishes and answered all our questions concerning the varied items on the menu. I must admit the poached egg in a creamy cauliflower and cheese sauce was a heavenly starter. For my entrée I went with fresh made lasagna pasta(oh so soft and billowy) with a creamy blue cheese fondue layered on top and mixed with chopped peppers; a perfect combination. Our dessert, rum soaked yellow cake served with citrus was scraped off the plate by me-and I usually do not go for cakes soaked in liquor as I find the liquor overpowering. Oh, and of course the best finish you could ever have to end a meal, husband and I both gasping in shock when we saw the bill, it was a bargain compared to what you would pay normally for food of such quality in the states. With the excellent tastings thrown in(pumpkin purée over tangy-yogurt and shortbread sweets to conclude our meal) I highly recommend a visit to Moma!

We were four looking for a good meal on our first night in Rome. I had suggested Moma due to the good reviews on Unilocal. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and seated quickly. As this is Rome plan on dining, not eating. There were several pre meal offerings sent to the table by the chef. Each of the tapas style«treats» we’re fantastic. This just increased our expectations for our meal. The wine list was a little daunting, but with a little assistance from our waiter(truth be told he picked the wine for us) we ended up with a fantastic bottle of reasonably priced red wine. Each of us ordered something different and we tried as many dishes off the menu as possible. Each and every one was fantastic. Portion sizes are perfect and the taste is unbelievable. Desserts are works of art, and the taste of each of them were distinct and fabulous. I will be returning to Moma on each visit to Rome with no doubt that the food will be fantastic. By the way, we met the chef, wish I could remember his name, but he is young and motivated to make this restaurant a success. His floor staff bring his motivation to their job as well. Maybe lunch today, is that too soon?

Came here for the weekday lunch, we were dining amongst the bankers from BNL across the street and other suits from around the block. The restaurant is very posh and the service is wonderful. The homemade breads they serve are amazing. There are very few vegetarian options available but the salads are very yummy. A solid option when in Rome!

if you’re ever in rome, make it a point to eat here. the food is TODIEFOR and the wine list is superb. we ate there after a long flight from the states, so i can’t remember the names of the dishes we had, but i remember how damn good they were. for dessert they sent out a plate of 4 finger foods, one of them being a home made marshmallow… and oh wow! definitely something i’d like to have again and again.
