Visited this past February. Not impressed. Friendly talkative host and I believe owner. He matched his odd quirky bohemian café decorated presumably from his world travels well. Of the places we ate in the area one of the most pricey meals and the least tasty. Not sure what the hype is about. Limited and overpriced menu of food and wine. Since he was the only one serving service was super slow. Even though there was only four of us in tiny space which can seat max 15 folks. Had a glass of house red wine. not gluten or dairy free friendly. We shared a lasagna and stuffed squid. Super tiny portions that tasted made the day prior. Squid not fresh and very rubbery. Finished meal with freshly baked simple apple muffin which was best part of the meal. Overall would avoid for lunch and dinner. Perhaps come by for quick snack or dessert. But so many other great options in the area can’t really understand why you would.

We just had our last meal in Rome at this establishment. I would say it was the best of our five day stay here. It was great! The owner personally explained what was on the menu today and how it was to be prepared. He only uses locally grown ingredients and it shows. His place is small but neat and has seating both in and out. Try not to miss this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

We had two meals here on our trip to Rome and we loved it. The café is charming and the owner is extremely kind. As some other reviewers have said, you almost feel like you are in his home. He is very welcoming and helpful with the menu. The food was delicious. There were some especially nice lighter dishes which were great in the heat of summer — and not easy to find elsewhere. Wonderful place!

Very good food and service. Excellent house wines. The portions are a bit too small for my taste.

A fabulously curated menu, excellent food, house wine and cocktails and a warm, intimate atmosphere. Luciano was the perfect host! Easily our best meal in Rome. We found it for lunch on our last day and returned for our farewell dinner. Simply fabulous!

What an excellent start to our visit in Roma! Delicious and freshly prepared food, wonderful wine, and excellent dessert. The owner was incredibly nice, and as others have stated, very proud of his place and his food. And rightfully so! He took the time to translate all of his offerings for the day into English and even provided excellent recommendations! We ended up having two different Roma pasta’s put in the center of the table to share. Both were very fresh and excellent! Between the reasonable pricing, the quality of the food, and the gracious owner, there is no question that we’ll be back to Obladi Oblada before we leave Roma.

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt this place deserves another great review. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and will definitely be returning before we leave. This is a family run restaurant/café. The owner is extremely friendly, you can see that he is extremely proud and passionate about the quality of his food and wine… And of course also the beer. The tiramisu is really good, he made up his own recipe and puts an espresso shot in the cup first. All the ingredients are super fresh and a lot of it is local and organic. The prices are really fair, our pasta dishes were only € 8. The décor is cute and inviting, a little vintage feel to it. There’s a few tables outside as well. This place is extremely worth your time.

Combine the Beatles, vintage signs, motorcycles, and solid(home style) food, and you’ve got this place. Completely unassuming and lacking all pretention, this small café has got a good selection of eats. We opted for random plates of goodies, with some Superior beer(and sparkling Barbera!) to wash it all down. What really struck my fancy was the exceptional service. The owner was extremely accommodating and kind. It almost felt like we dined in his own home. Completely fair pricing and tasty food; show up with zero expectations and there’ll be little(if anything) to complain about.
