Every place we have visited in Rome has been worth the effort. Most are simply fabulous. This was the only disappointment. My recommendation: This is not a secret garden to discover in Rome. It’s a poorly maintained collection of very old trees (THEY are beautiful) and one flowerless rose garden planted in the shade. I’ve enjoyed some fabulous botanic gardens around the world. This would be a disappointment if it was a suburban Chicago park. Beyond the age of the plantings, there is nothing to offer the tourist here.
