Great food at a reasonable price especially considering the location its in. Most of the places near the vatican are so touristy. This place has a really relaxed atmosphere. Don’t let the upscale looking interior fool you. It’s pretty causally priced.
Bonus is that wait staff are actually friendly unlike most of the shop owners in Rome.
Be warned they do charge for water and bread but maybe that is common in Rome? Still my main with wine and water was 21 Euro all in. Good for the area.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, suggesting it was less touristy. Very nice space with a good ambiance. The meat and cheese plate was excellent and the wine was good. Gnocchi too dense, but OK. Veal cheek tasted «funny». I would go back to the restaurant, but not go out of my way to do so, especially considering the price point. Truly, have had better Italian food in the States.
