The price is reasonable, but the food is very salty! They have great combo– salad, pasta, and a drink for 10euro. Great deal, but wish the food is less salty! The staffs aren’t fully understand English, but they tried their best to explain to you. Great plus!!!

*This review is broken up into Overall Verdict(Summary), Experience/Service and Spaghetti and Meatballs details. — — — Overall Verdict: SERVICE: Very friendly and accommodating; They really made me feel like they wanted to please us VENUE: Simple and clean SPAGHETTI and MEATBALLS: Mouthwatering yet affordable!(Oh how I wish I was back!) Portions were perfect; not too much, not too little(for me that is). ADDITIONALINFORMATION: I don’t believe they spoke much English but enough to deliver good service. WIFI: They had WiFi, but unfortunately, when I asked for the password, they said that their internet was down. VERDICT: Great service and exceptional pasta! I would love to come back here again ^_^. — — — Experience/Service: After walking around Rome and Vatican City, and about to pass out due to hunger, my friend and I happened upon Pastarella on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm — and they did not disappoint! The place was not packed so they were able to get us seated quickly, and just as quickly were ready to give us their smiles. The venue reminded me of a village-type of restaurant: beautiful and romantic due to its simplicity and humbleness. — — — -Spaghetti and Meatballs: Primi di Terra(First Courses): — Spaghetti alla Bolognese — Spaghetti al Pesto — Polpette di Vitello al Sugo(veal meatballs in tomato sauce) Both our spaghetti entrées were amazing!(Just writing this review makes me want to go back!) They certainly satiated my cravings. I had expected an over-generous portion like they do in America, but the portion was just perfect for me. I was able to finish my dish(something I barely do in the states). As for the Polpette di Vitello al Sugo, these were very good but very cheesy; The meatballs were full of cheese inside and out. Nevertheless, they were still very tasty!

Pastarella is a GREAT place to have a nice dinner with amazing Sangria at a very reasonable price in a clean and well managed establishment. It is within easy walking distance of the Vatican Museum and fairly close to the Ottaviano stop on the Metro Red Line. The service was great. The staff friendly and helpful. They spoke English very well for those of us who are not conversant in Italiano. They even have free WiFi, just ask to have the staff log your device onto it. Get the Sangria !! The Carpaccio was delicious. The pasta dishes were great. We will certainly return there again when in that part of Rome.
