We felt terribly scammed coming here. We were looking around for something quaint and this place caught our eyes with sparkling and colourful façade and cozy little shop that has all kinds of italian goodies. The outside had a few chairs and tables and people eating under dimly lit atmosphere. On the board, there was a special for gnocchis in soup. The British couple told us the soup was very very«nice» so we sat down, ordered some wine/beer, some charcuterie, and the gnocchi special. The owner told us that the gnocchi had to come in two servings when we asked for just one, because we werent that hungry, but we said okay without really giving it much thought. The gnocchi was peasant food. it was just olive oil in a broth with tiny versions of gnocchis thrown in them. It was plain in every way possible. We didnt even finish it. The charcuterie was just a few pieces of cooked chicken. Worst part was that when the bill came, it was 40EUR. We barely ate anything, the food was terrible, and we were out 40EUR — wtf. If you look at our bill, it just says vini e liquori. According to the guy, the gnocchi were 16, the charcuterie was 8 for four slices of cooked chicken, and the wine was 4 and beer was 12. WTH. I don’t know what i’m more mad about. Getting scammed by Romans or myself for trusting the food advice of Brits. I should have known better.
