For when you’re tired of pizza pies, but not quite tired of gourmet pizza. The owner is not just a pizza enthusiast, but also a kitchen«scientist» on all the peculiar applications of biologic flours and yeast. The result is that the dough is highly digestible, resulting in a somewhat lighter product that doesn’t leave you bloated the day after. Stress on lightER, because the toppings are so tempting that every meal is hardly a weight-losing experience. The idea of serving pizza by the slice allows you to mix and match, ordering several flavors in one meal. And if you’re with a larger crowd, there are alternatives for every taste: fried goodies(supplì, crocchette etc.), rotisserie pork and chicken, sides and cold cuts. There’s even a whole section for draft beer and gourmet cheese. Meaning that if you don’t want to take it to go, there’s plenty of room to seat inside and even watch the latest soccer game, if that’s your cup of tea. I’m more of a fan of thinner, less risen pizza, but I gladly make an exception for the creative combinations on display, including vegetarian and meat-loving creations. And if you do the math, you end up spending less than if going to a more traditional restaurant, although the pizza by the slice is priced a bit on the high side. All credit cards are accepted, so don’t put any limit to your appetite and order away, flour, water and yeast never tasted so good and rich.

Fabulous!!! We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised at the creative variety of pizze available: with zucchini flowers, eggplant, potato and rosemary, peppers sweet and spicy, sautéed mushrooms, sausage… the list is endless and delicious, and so very fresh and different. This place was recommended by our friends Alberto and Mary Cantoni who are frequent customers… they were right when they said that this was the best pizza place around. We are from Chicago, and the next time we are in Acilia we will definately stop here for pizza.
