Read about this gem in Travel and Leisure. Made our way there(30 minutes from the center in a taxi) and it was everything you could ask for and not a bit touristy. Highlights of the meal included the house red(organic«biological» wine; whatever that means), pecorino and a pizza bianco with potatoes and rosemary(don’t judge; just eat). The food is all sourced locally(a big deal as Rome isn’t known for farming). Our party of four got out of there stuffed to the gills for 70 €. The only thing I felt was missing were outdoor tables. I just love sitting outside. And I’m a smoker. Go here. Call ahead and make a reservation. Don’t worry if your Italian isn’t perfecto as the owner has a good grasp on English. The menu is completely in Italian and it’s as authentic as it’s going to get. Absolutely amazing.
