Rosti al Pigneto

Waited too long to take the order, our waiter never seamed to be around and when he was he would make minimum effort to hear us… We had to shout out order as he was standing quite far. When out order of two veggie burgers came, it was really below the mark. It was a lentil pure in the shape of a burger on two pieces of sandwich bread… I thought they had ran out of bread for burgers!!! I saw the beautiful meet burgers at the other tables, very rich apart from the meet. I’m vegetarian and I never have trouble at restaurants with the food. This burger was just sad and tasteless, absolutely no seasoning on the lentils… Just plain. Very little onions which where tasty, plane greens on the side, no oil or vinaigrette on them neither the waiter was bothered to bring any, oh and he didn’t bring ketchup not mustard for the burgers. 10 € for each, not worth the price, my bf and I agreed, only I returned mine… To bland… Got a caponata melanzana which was too salty… I ate as much as I could bared, my italian bf was embarrassed I returned the plate, guess it’s not in Italian culture along with good service. Needless to say I won’t be returning nor bringing friends as I had initially planed when I first saw the lovely space, which does merit a star! The pastrami was dry, thinly sliced and very cold. Only one piece of sliced pickle. We had to hail waiters down as they are many but not attentive. Location is nice but food and service so terrible that I will not be back.
