I just walked in for a moment because Unilocal said this place was good. It was very dead at 12 on a Friday night. Typical Irish pub, smelt like piss and cigarettes. Looks like they play a lot of footy matches. Not a brilliant beer selection as far as I could tell. You can do better in Rome.

It was a nice slice of pseudo-Americana(a big group of American college students strolled in when we were there) after a week filled with wine and limoncello and rich Italian delicacies. The staff was lovely and the drinks were good. Very laid back and easy to find.

I came here on the back of guide book reviews. Glad I did. Having visited other Irish bars locally and countless all over Europe I liked the feel of this place. The staff are friendly and the Guinness shapes up. Good banter during the six nations rugby and the music mid-week was good. It’s a place to come find because you won’t stumble across it.

My tourist dad’s been here three nights in a row. I went as well. Every night seems to have new people from different english speaking countries that are looking for interesting conversations. The beer I had was € 6, is that normal?

Our family had a great time here. We were able to hang with the locals and even grabbed the mike to close for some sing alongs. Great Irish pub that is a break from the norm while vacationing in Rome.

Had a great time here. Colm(forgive me if I got this wrong) was a great host. He was engaging and courteous. Would definitely recommend as a place to get a proper pint and enjoy a true Irish pub.

A cozy little spot with a good pint tucked away in the hills of rome. To begin, everywhere I go I find an Irish bar and Rome has several. I like this one the best and the bartenders are great guys who have seen a few less than stellar fellows in their place, but once they figure out that you’re there to drink and have a good time, they warm up to ye. Also a singer, bringing his own harp and guitar stopped by(mickey martin, if you know him, and I did, but didn’t let on) and sat the corner booth and took requests. Mostly mine, I’m sorry to say, so if you were in the bar that night, forgive me, I know my singing voice is not much more than loud. But if you can’t get drunk and sing what else is there? There were some Aussies in there and some other folks and with Mr. Martin playing lots o Pogue songs, it was quite the rollicking craic. A pun close to me own heart, and if I lived in rome, it’d be my home bar.

We went here based on other Unilocal reviews. We had to search for a bit, because it is not in the tourist area. Going here was worth the walk, as the atmosphere was very good. The bartender is Irish and a very nice guy. He made us feel welcome. The drinks were good. They even had Bulmer’s pear cider, which is hard to find on mainland Europe.

Great place to have a beer or mixed drink; «little tavern» atmosphere is the main draw, along with the waiter being a authentic irishman that serves both drinks and the aura of being in a true irish pub.

Adoro questo posto!!! Coming from America, I just wanted a dirty little spot where I could order a whiskey to wash away my problems, like a derelict or some insane fellow… because that’s how we roll in the States, right? Friendly staff, a comfortable lounge(suitable for solo drinking as well). Irish beers on tap are plentiful here, as are hard liquors. It’s the oldest Irish-run pub in Rome! Gino, one of the owners, is a friendly, older fellow who really knows how to treat people well. I love getting great service, and I felt wholly satisfied patronizing this place. I appreciated even more the barman’s conversation about literary greats with the regulars. I could imagine writing a great novel here, and who wouldn’t want to read my story about time-traveling dinobots?

We went here last night after searching for an actual bar near our hotel. We found out this is actually the oldest Irish pub in Rome! Had such a great time and the staff was amazing! Definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing a pint.
