First off the food here is fantastic. If I am back in Rome I will definitely return. This is a family owned, mom and pop restaurant where the food takes the center stage. If you are looking for great service, turn around, as that is not what this place is about. It is about the food, and the fact that you can sit and enjoy the company you are with and the homemade food for as long as you like. They do things the old fashioned way here. There is the Mom, who appeared to be the matriarch of the family and who prepared all the food. Then you have what appeared to be her sons acting as Waiters. They aren’t the quickest or best in the service industry but they made me feel at home and actually brought out some house after dinner drinks on the house. The food though was fantastic. The cacio e pepe is a must. It was the best I had in Italy. I also have a veal dish wrapped in a pepper that was super good. If you are looking for a good homemade dinner, than this is the place. Just don’t expect 5 start service as it is a small mom and pop restaurant.
