If only I could have one of their pizza’s right now! This place was the best pizza I had while vacationing in Italy for 9 days. It’s all hand made, tossed and placed in a wood fire oven to cook. The flavor of the dough is so good. After All the dough is what makes a pizza! Oh! And the prices! It is so damn cheap. You can get an entire pizza for 5 € that can easily feed 2. I will for sure visit here while in Pigneto. Actually, even if I’m not in Pigneto, I’ll make it my business to come here

Having lived in this neighbourhood, this is where Pigneto people go to eat Napoli style pizza in this area of Rome. The woodfire oven takes up half the space of the restaurant. It’s really a tiny hole in the wall but it’s authentically Campania. Vulcano is italian for volcano and is a reference to Vesuvius in case you missed that connection. Prices are very reasonable and owners are nice people. Amatriciana is very good.

Wood-fired thin crust pizza on the cheap. Better than the stuff you get in the touristy areas by far, and about half the price. But it’s located in a residential area located on the other side of Termini, so it’s out of the way on a fairly empty street. We were staying at the Hotel Eurostars, so it was nearby. We went late around 9:30 and it fills with young locals. We split a pizza for under 6 Euros and added a couple of suppli. They have specials by the slice as well, and we saw one guy eating a pizza topped with those yellow potatoes. Pretty much no English is spoken so if you don’t speak Italian you’ll have to grunt and point. I wish we had pizza like this in America, I’d realistically eat it 3 – 4 times a week.
