My wife has celiac(gluten free), and this popped up when searching on Unilocal for«gluten free». They have very limited GF options, salads, which was very disappointing. Most everywhere has salad GF, but we made a special trip to find this place for lunch hoping for more. I had one of the regular sandwiches which was just okay. Not worth going back.

For the price it’s closer to 5 stars. 21euros for 5 small sandwiches and two juices. Nice small lunch. The smaller sandwich size gives you a chance to try various options. Try the meatball one — our favorite.

Mmmm finally a place without pasta or pizza. Really craving some sandwiches haha. This place is pretty small btw, there are places to sit but it can def get busy so grab a spot! I love how they also have mini sandwiches to try more and large ones if you really like it! Everything was super fresh! The ones we tried: Strawberry hill(4 stars) — This one was really good and unique with the balsamic! Peggy Rockfeller(4 stars) — The parmigiano in this was really good! Chorus(5 stars) — A veggie one but soooo, loved the mint, the creamy ricotta and the fiori di zucca mmm! Marion(4 stars) — Also got this one, like a smoked salmon bagel but better! I would def come back here, we ordered like 3 different times because we got a bunch of mini’s and wanted to try as much as possible! I tried some other ones but forgot which ones they were, these were the best for me though!

Truly fantastic sandwiches — lucky us, right across from our Airbnb in Monti! Definitely order the regular sized Rosette, the minis are teeny-tiny. We got the Moderna(smoked swordfish with guacamole) and the Strawberry Hill with bresaola, rocket/arugula, parmesan, pineapple, and strawberry balsamic. Though I found the brioche to be a bit crumbly and chewy, the toppings were absolutely divine. Strong, fantastic, unusual flavors that mingled well together and showed a real creativity. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The smoked fish was delicious, and the fruit flavors in the Strawberry Hill went surprisingly well with savory ingredients. I’d highly recommend either! Juices are 3.50 and are made fresh, not the biggest portion, but definitely worth getting if you want to detox a bit after all the pasta you’ve been eating. Staff is a bit curt, but it isn’t a big deal. Order at the counter and wait for a great lunch.

I would move in to this adorable little restaurant if I could. Just a few minutes walk from the colosseum, but off the beaten path enough that you can escape all the crazy tourists and pushy waiters trying to get you into their tourist trap. The place is perfectly decorated and the food is simple, fresh and delicious. Tons of options for vegetarian and meat lovers alike! You can even finish your meal with a «mini’ rosetta with Nutella(which we did!)

Great way to have a lite bite in Rome. The sandwiches can be standard size or slider size, perfect in the evening after a heavy afternoon meal. We tried the Moderna(smoked swordfish with guacamole) and the Ballerina(tuna with zucchini, spouts and soy sauce) and the meatball sandwich. All terrific on great fresh rolls.
