Panificio is a little chain of Italian bakery shops that offer quick service and easy takeaway. While walking the hilly streets of Siena, I found my tummy grumbling and needing a bit of a snack. This place fit the bill. I opted for a small slice of thin bread topped with cheese, zucchini and tomatoes. It’s sort of like pizza but not quite, and is served cold. Very tasty snack and friendly service. Lots of tasty bakery options here and the perfect choice for an on-​the-​go snack.
