If you are going to try the Sicilian favorite, pasta con le sarde(pasta with sardines, wild fennel, currants, and pine nuts), try it here! You will not be disappointed — even IF you are not a fan of sardines(I am not). At this restaurant, food is as it should be– simple and fresh. The seafood is perfection. Take a walk through the daily market in Syracuse to see just how fresh the fish they serve at Sicilia in Tavola is. We also had fresh sardines for an appetizer and I was blown away by how good sardines can taste! There is also a serve yourself antipasti bar. You will be charged according to the amount you take– approximately 6 – 7 euros for a small plate. Tasty items to share so you will hopefully still have plenty of room for your main courses.
