Glad we chose this for our lunch in Sorrento during a day trip. It faces the piazza so it’s great for people-watching, and the food is delicious and fairly reasonable price wise. I had the rabbit and also tried the pumpkin soup, ceviche with rocket salad, BLT panino and veal with grilled veggies. My rabbit was prepared in lemon sauce, which I love, and was very juicy. It was served with a tasty purple grain(can’t recall the name right now) and mixed salad. I also liked the ceviche a lot, and the pumpkin soup was creamy and, well, pumpkin-y. The BLT was good but pretty basic — more or less like you’d get in the US. I didn’t think the veal was good — it seemed dry. All in all a great meal, though!

Another great find in Sorrento right on the main plaza. The waiters were funny and nice, singing aloud with the street musicians. A real treat for visitors. We ordered the veggie lasagna and the cannelloni, both had the best melted cheese in the world and the tomato sauce on the cannelloni was terrific. Carry a few Euro coins in your pocket in case the street musicians swing through the restaurant so you can tip them for the song.

Quick, reasonably priced lunch when we first arrived in Sorrento — exactly what you would expect /want from a solid option in a touristy area. Great pizza and pasta options, lots of half bottle wine options. Food tasted delicious and very quick service even though it was packed with people trying to stay out of the rain. Salad a bit disappointing. Very friendly wait staff.

We came here on a Saturday night the first night we came into Sorrento. The restaurant has been open for 50 years and there is a good reason! There are so many varieties of pizza to choose from. My fiancé and I split a bottle of wine the server recommended that was local to the area as well as a pizza that had proscutto, roasted peppers and tomatoes. It was delicious! We also had a caprese salad that was so fresh. Overall great experience

My daughter and I were tired and very hungry after just having arrived in Sorrento. The Aurora Light was in the right place at the right time. It is right in the main square, with lots of outdoor seating. The menu was typical Italian with a few seafood dishes thrown in. My daughter had the salmon and I had the Angler fish. Both were delicious. The wine was good, the desserts were good. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly and spoke enough English. We had a lovely dinner and a delightful evening!

This place was ok… The location is fantastic but the food is just alright. Of course we ate here through a cruise ship excursion so it’s difficult to say whether we got a good deal, great deal, or a ripoff. I would certainly come back here, buy a bottle of wine, and sit and watch people pass by. As a side note, the food was good but the portions were(I think intentionally) quite small.

Awesome concept(emphasizing light fare… although not sure how light it really is) and good food. We sat outside on an overcast day and just enjoyed the weather and people watching. I had the veggie lasagna and it was perfect.

We had a short time to shop and grab lunch when our tour stopped in town before heading to Pompeii. We ordered some pizzas for the kids which came out quickly and were very good. The prosciutto and melon was incredible. The melon was so sweet and fresh is was like dessert. I also had pasta carbonara which was quite good and used mushrooms instead of peas. The staff made an excellent effort to get us served and on our way to meet our bus on time. Our only regret was not having time to sit out and enjoy more of a leisurely pace on patio.

Meaghan K. and I’s last day in Sorrento was marred by severe thunderstorms. Our plans to make it over to Positano were canceled and we were now on a mission to find some food for our last lunch in Italy. After two weeks of eating non stop pasta, pizza, and bread, we thought it might be time for us to slow it down a bit. We had passed by Aurora Light earlier in our trip and saw that it had a bunch of salads and healthy food. We thought this would be a perfect occasion to try the healthier side of Italy. We arrived for lunch during one of the thunderstorms and were seated outside under the awning. For my meal I got the spicy chickpea and spinach salad which was pretty good. The chickpeas were not as spicy as I would hope. It was after I had eaten the salad that I felt that tinge of spice in my mouth. Meaghan K. got the stuffed peppers which she seemed to enjoy. Overall, the reason I liked Aurora Light as much as I did was that it was a nice change of pace. After eating so many carbs for two weeks, it was great to actually eat a nice salad.

Had lunch at Aurora Light one rainy day in Sorrento last week. I must say I had low expectations since it was in the main piazza but the menu looked decent and so did the prices. We found a table outside that was nice and allowed for people watching. I had the stuffed peppers that were just incredible. A red and yellow pepper peeled and filled with veggies, cheese and breadcrumbs and cooked to the perfect point where they weren’t a mushy mess but instead still a little crispy. The peppers were served on top of this incredible bechamel sauce that kicked the simple dish up the notch. My friend had a spicy chickpea and spinach salad that she loved as well. I can’t give this place five stars though because the service was quite strange. There was really only one server and then someone who was working behind the bar inside making coffees who would occasionally helping. As it got busier it seemed another man was helping seat tables but not take their orders or anything. The server was nice but incredibly rushed. What I found strange was that they were turning away customers, first a group of people who wanted to sit for coffees, the waiter said tables were for eating lunch only(not sure if this is an Italian thing I don’t know about or just something particular to this restaurant) then there was a couple with a small child in a stroller which the waiter told them to go to the restaurant next door to eat even though there was tables open. It all seemed very confusing to me and I’m sure with the strange service they may have lost some customers and maybe made a few not want to return for another visit. If I ever find myself in Sorrento again(and I hope I do) I would go to Aurora Light again and hope the service was a little better but hope to find the food the same.

I was originally going to give this place 4 stars because we were given a small table. Then our waiter Giuseppe found out my name was Joe and he gave us chilled limoncella. Eccezionale(outstanding)! We started off w/the pizza in the pic. It was delicious. The crust had ricotta inside(and I thought Pizza Hut started that $hit!-LMFAO). For our entrees we had seafood papardelle(don’t pronounce the«e» as I was told) and grilled shrimp. Sorprendente(amazing!). The shrimp were sweet and w/the heads on. Being Asian and having grown up in Hawaii, like my sig says, I will eat anything even if its moving. The heads were delizioso! The papardelle had some langosta w/claws that were great too. I love seafood! The place was cool even though a couple of atypical«stupid»(ignorant) Americans were sitting behind us. First of all, they asked for ghiacco(ice) w/their wine and then they wanted thousand island for their salads. WTF! Did they think they were at Dennys!-LOL. They didn’t even learn a few Italian phrases. I know a little Italian(I am fluent in Spanish and Hawaiian, but I barely speak English-LMAO), but least I tried. These two are probably the butt of jokes for Italian comedians!
