Sorrento Flats B&B

I have no idea why this place has such a bad rating on Unilocal because on Tripadvisor it’s got stellar ratings that actually reflect how wonderful this place is!
First off, it’s conveniently located right where all the action is in Sorrento but it’s so quiet that you can really get a good night’s sleep here. We stayed in the Blue Room and it was spacious and felt like a home away from home. I’m sad we didn’t stay here longer.
Breakfast & free wifi are included and the kitchen is available ²⁴⁄₇ that’s loaded with snacks in case you get hungry anytime during the day or night. But what really impressed me about this place was the service. There are 3 wonderful guys here and they were all so friendly and helpful (gave us food recommendations, details on where things are located within Sorrento, etc). We had a slight emergency while we were staying here. Long story short, we took the wrong train and ended up over 2 hours AWAY from Sorrento. And we were stranded in a small town where no one spoke English and there were no trains/​bus/​taxi running at that time. Luckily, we called Luigi at Sorrento Flats (since we had the business card) and he went above and beyond and essentially rescued us by arranging a driver to come pick us up. What an absolute life saver. He also called again while we were getting picked up to make sure everything went smoothly and that we’d arrive back safely. I can’t rave enough about this place and I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking to stay in Sorrento.
It’s a quick 5 min walk from the train/​bus station and a 2 min walk from the central square.

Overpriced and generally a bad value for money. Plenty of other places to stay that are similarly situated with much better amenities and lower prices. Breakfast was boring and there was nobody ever on site to answer your questions. I regret staying at such poor accommodations in such a beautiful area. They have very good reviews on many sites which was a reason I booked. I am at a loss to explain the good reviews and can’t understand why anybody remotely familiar with the area would think this was a good place to stay. At $ 120/​night in the high season this would have been a good place to stay, but at over $ 200/​night this was a poor value. Thoroughly disappointed.

Great location, friendly owners and modern, fresh rooms. Great job Luigi with the décor, amenities and makeup mirror… it’s the little things. Great value and walking distance to everything in Sorrento.
