Ok, so I’m new to Unilocal but a frequent biz traveler. Searched for a restaurant nearby, wanting to try something different. This is a very good find. Relaxed atmosphere. Good food. Nice service. The antipasti was ample enough for two. The pasta with anchovies could have used more anchovies but was still very good. The pork tenderloin was perfect –just slightly pink. With a half carafe, the bill was ~36 €. Excellent value. Would definitely go back. And by the way, they do have English menus.

It was our first night in Turin, and after settling into our hotel(Holiday Inn) we sought out the first thing we could find for dinner, which happened to be La Conca right across the street. No previous research or recommendations leading us there may have been the best thing for us as we had no expectations before going there. And coming here was the best decision! We had our best meal during our trip to Italy here at this unassuming little family run restaurant. FOOD: Amazing. We had the best risotto we’ve ever tasted here. We had the parmesan risotto with fresh shaved truffles on top. So simple but perfectly cooked and so flavorful! I still crave the risotto from La Conca. All the pasta we tried was so delicious. Fresh homemade pasta cooked to perfection. The spaghetti was the best we’ve tasted. Everything was so fresh and you could definitely taste it. The wine. Also amazing. SERVICE: Being non Italian speaking patrons, our waiter was so gracious and welcoming to us. He tried his best to explain all the dishes to us and always made sure we were enjoying our meals. And he remembered us each time we came to visit. OVERALL: We came here a total of 3 times during our 10 day stay in Turin. It was our first meal and last meal, because we had so enjoyed our experience here. I don’t know when the next time we will be in Turin, but if we ever come back, I am definitely making a stop at La Conca!

All I can say is outstanding. I try to stay away from places close to international hotels as they tend to be «cheesy». Well this is certainly an exception. Outstanding food and service exceeds that of some of the finest restaurants in Cuneo and the Baralo region of the Italian wine country. Absolutely perfect.
