Whenever my parents receive some friends, especially from a foreign country, they always end up eating here. And I keep their work. Family traditions are the most important after all! So what’s this restaurant about? It’s all about tradition. This is the only word coming up from my mouth every time I come here. The décor is elegant and refined, and the environment is calm and business-alike. The place is the usual meta for businessmen and old couples eating here traditional piedmontese dishes, and you can be sure that’s what you’ll eat. Nothing extravagant, no strange ideas on the menu chart. Just classic traditional dishes like«Tonno di Coniglio»(rabbit cooked in a similar way as the pulled pork, but cold served) or «Agnolotti del plin»(typical filled pasta). The chart changes every couple of months reflecting the various seasons, but always keeping the piedmontese cooking traditions as the main focus. Honor mention for bread and grissini(traditional Turin’s) breadsticks, just try not to eat too much of it before the food comes! If you really want to indulge yourself with something special, you can always opt for the steak. Piedmont is the origin of one of the best races of cows in the world(called Fassone Piemontese) and the meat you’ll receive will be perfectly cooked and served in a way only a great restaurant such as this one is able to. Slightly different from what you can expect is the service: instead of being cold and impersonal, the waiting staff is friendly and smiling, something different to find in town center restaurants! The wine list is even too classical: the only thing I don’t like from this place, it only has some very well known etiquettes, and more than half of the chart is filled with not local wines. I’d prefer something completely concentrated on Piedmont, as this is one of the top regions for wine production in the world, rather than presenting champagnes and Bordeaux wines. But that’s only a shadow on the greatness this restaurant is regarding Turin cooking panorama. Whenever you come from, for whatever reason you are in Turin, do not miss this gem!

Food = 4* Service = 3* Had a nice dinner here with work colleagues. We sat outside(with the mosquitoes) on a gorgeous evening. We ordered a bunch of starters to share. Notably yummy was the fake«tuna»(rabbit salad), the salmon pasta. For main dish I had the steak which was cooked to perfection. And of course we all had wine. The service was a bit slow, and with none of us speaking Italian, we seemed to get a bit of attitude from the waiter. Overall a good meal though and just a few minutes from the Intercontinental hotel where we were staying.
