La Ciau del Tornavento

This restaurant has a wine list of various kind of local wineries and wine producers such as Barolo, Barbaresco, etc. Main dishes match these local wines, especially, those with strong rough taste. In winter, they serve seasonal local food, white truffles, in the form of cocotte of eggs with white truffles or pasta with white truffles. The food is, in general, traditional. Each plate is decorated and presented modernly but its taste remains local and regional, so that it well matches the local wines.
The view from the window or the terrace of the restaurant is wonderful with the mountainous wineries of Piemonte.
I highly recommend this restaurant to the Piemonte wine lovers who does not pursue so-​called modern creative cuisine.
