Here’s something I did not know… restaurants in Venice close early! So, I flew in all the way from the US, taking a connecting flight, getting on a water taxi, and finally arrived at the hotel. It was 10:30 and I was hungry. But most places were already closed… Anyhow, I started to walk around and I found this place by the hotel.
It looked like a sports bar with a big screen TV, but I saw some food in the display.
Well, they were still serving hot meals! Ordered a half bottle of Chianti, and got a plate of carbonara… oh yes, I was happy. At that point, I did not care if the pasta was nuked or freshly made. Maybe the food was 3 stars, but I am adding one more star for being open to satisfy my stomach…
