I don’t usually review hotels, but I thought my fellow Unilocalers should be alerted to how thin the walls are at this hotel. Yes, the location is prime (just a short 2 minute walk to Plaza San Marco), but you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. I woke up around 3 am to my neighbors coming into their room, their conversation, and even heard the man burping! What a nightmare. The hotel also only provides body wash — no lotion or shampoo. For 220 euros, I expect much better accommodations. Granted, I did appreciate that the hotel let me check in an hour prior to 2 pm, but I really cannot get over the thin walls.

Excellent! This little hotel is a gem: very well appointed in the «Venetian Style», friendly professional staff, and it is located right behind Plaza San Marco. Breakfast is included and if you choose you can hire a gondola right in front of the hotel. It’s location makes walking to most sites very easy. Big comfortable king size bed. Not inexpensive but nothing in Venice is cheap.
The only complaint I would have is the «free» tour of Murano. for the high pressure sales pitch… refuse that next time.

Well the location was perfect. Very close to everything, meeting place for gondolas… but, the bed was like sleeping on a plywood board, the pillows were little bricks, and the smell from the bathroom was stomach turning. It wasn’t terrible, had a few decent English channels, but that smell really soured me on the hotel.

Gondoliers…
C’est un hôtel très sympa car il est adjacent à la plus grande «station» de gondoles, vous pourrez donc en héler une à l’embarcadère que l’hôtel. Pour ceux qu’un petit tour sur l’eau né tente pas, offrez-vous un cocktail sur les balcons fleuris… Evidement avoir une chambre qui donne sur le grand canal embellira votre séjour.

Magnifique
Hôtel magnifique donnant sur le bassin Orseolo (1mn à pied derrière la place Saint Marc). Le personnel est sympa, les chambres et salles de bains sont grandes et très bien décorées dans le style venitien. Si comme moi vous avez la chance d’avoir une vue canal c’est très beau. Le matin vous vous reveillez avec la vue sur les gondoles: très romantique. Le seul hic: la queue au petit déjeuner (qui par ailleurs est très copieux et varié) suivant l’heure à laquelle vous descendez, car la salle est petite. Et super cher surtout en periode de carnaval. Sinon l’emplacement de l’hôtel est genial.
