Came all the way here for cold fried seafood! Don’t come before 7pm or they will serve you directly from the microwave. It came to the table cool or room temp at best. The price for four people to eat a cold snack was just under 100 dollars. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Oh the service was very good if that helps.

Went for our honeymoon in 2012, and anytime I find out someone’s going to visit Venice, I recommend eating here, and dunno why I never reviewed it before. It was great. Seafood and loud and wine and Italians and huge plates. Delicious.

Whether you belong to those who enjoyed the food here incredibly, or those who again thought it was not THAT special, this is exactly the kind of place you have to look for when in Venice! It is some sort of an extended«Bacaro» — it would be a bar if it was not all about fish again, so it grew up to be a restaurant — but one which you can really call«local» — even if its food did not necessarily impress you. In addition to being able to select some of the ready-made cicchetti from the vitrine, you can order dishes from the kitchen as well. I went for something from the menu(in Italian), and was not that impressed with my grilled sardelle — they were not crispy at all and almost impossible to eat with the bones like that — as if they didn’t have the nerve to try too hard in that kitchen. I mean lots of tourists are among the guests after all. but the rest was really just fine. Pasta that we also had was too al dente, but still convincing. And not just that, I enjoyed the authentic vibe of this place a lot — it is one of those images you always remember after your travel. Coming there straight after a disappointing visit to Murano-Burano, our mood was not brilliant, and at first I thought that loud music would be a no-go. Luckily we managed to adapt to the noise level without even noticing, because anything else would have been a pity. It is a restaurant with character. The view of the busy but friendly and cheerful staff running around, the rustic interior, the liveliness of the whole atmosphere, my excellent Tiramisu… definitely a tip.

My favorite place in Venice! We couldn’t get a table, but had a great food with wine. Must visit again:)

Don’t come if you are hungry and want to eat. We waited for over one hour for two pasta dishes to arrive. Both dishes were salty and pasta was under cooked. Then we waited for another 30 min. for the fried seafood plater to come. The black ink squid pasta had only 2 small pieces squid in it. Food is over rated at this site and the menu is over priced. It charges € 2.5 per person for a small basket of bread to share and a glass of tap water. Tipping is extra. Walkway was crowed with standing customers while the main dinning area or 2⁄3 of the seats were vacant/reserved. Most of these reserved seats were still vacant when we left the restaurant about 2.5 hours later. It doesn’t make any biz sense.

Awesome and authentic! Very loud and fun atmosphere. Menu is in Italian only. Food was excellent and the service was great. Definitely make a reservation.

Heute Abend. Insgesamt also nicht schön. Vielleicht besinnt man sich dort noch auf die guten Fähigkeiten der Küche und das Ambiente und verdient dann immernoch gutgenug.

Hands down the best restaurant I’ve eaten so far in Italy. The fried seafood platter was amazing! Pasta dishes were flavorful and delicious. Will be coming back tomorrow night. Make reservations!

Always very busy so the service can drop as a result but the food is amazing, mainly fish, mostly fried but also beautifull grilled depending on what is fresh that day from the market. The seats outside are hard to come by but excellent for people watching on the Fondamenta. Very local orientated, one of a few great spots on this street.

My friend and I went here around 9pm/10 and the place was packed! The host told us that they were full and they had no more reservations left for us. We were pretty disappointed but we stuck around and talked to other people that worked there and realized that we could get take out. It was tough communicating to them in english and we ended up just picking various appetizers from the seafood bar and calling it dinner. Im pretty sure the price he gave for our dinner was made up but was still a good deal for all the seafood we got. I watched them prepared the seafood platter and it mostly was microwaved so we did just that when we got home. I’m always skeptical of microwaving food but the seafood was super delicious! It tasted like it was cooked hot and fresh right there. I would love to go back though and sit down and experience their actual menu though.

I don’t know why this restaurant does not receive as high ratings as on Google Map, but it is by far the best I’ve had in Italy. After having pasta or pizza or lasagna for a week, we have become quite tired of all the flour made food. This restaurant to our surprise brought great pleasure. The seafood is so fresh and the atmosphere is very lively. I would highly recommend the house wine and especially the crabs. Definitely try the antipasta paradiso, awesome seafood platter. They are huge and delicious! The price is decent and cash only. It gets very busy in the evening so reservation in advance is recommended. We had a great evening. Enjoy!

Just stumbled into this place with an empty stomach. The atmosphere has a chill vibe. Somebody was tuning the piano the entire time. It felt like an artsy, abstract, and random place. You just pick and choose what you want to eat, sit, and dig in.

We came in because we thought we found a hidden gem. We walked by the place every night(3 – 4 nights in a row). It always looks so good, all seafood dishes. The place was packed everyday! We decided to check it out Sunday 7pm. We didn’t have a reservation. The place was packed again. We waited for an hour. After being seated, we ordered our food right away. We got our appetizer in the next 40 min. We were pretty patient(try to be understanding given how crowded the place was). We basically waited about 30 min between courses! Above all the biggest disappointment was the food! The food was just ok. It was not bad but definitely not worthy of all the wait we put in. We had mixed seafood appetizer(ok), spaghetti seafood(worst of everything we ordered), mixed seafood grill for an entrée(best of the three that we ordered but still average in my opinion). The price was reasonable. The vibe was good. But the food was average. I won’t go back to the place and won’t recommend it too The place takes cash only. We ended up paying in usd. They accepted it which was nice
