Last night in Venice was staying in hotel bellini near train station. Short walk over the bridge we were there with another couple sat outside very nice atmosphere our waiter Roberto was excellent. I must say very generous portions and food was top notch. Did not leave hungry. House wine was very good and lemoncello was even better

We had a very pleasant and tasty dinner here with excellent and friendly service. We had an arugula and pancetta salad, duck pappardelle and a delicious brie, arugula, funghi pizza with an outstanding crust. It was our favorite meal in Venice.

Came here for dinner looking for non-carb options which is difficult to find in Venice. I ordered a salad with rucola, bacon and parmesan and it was the saltiest, most disgusting salad I’ve ever had. I basically had a few bites of the Parmesan covered bacon which was incredibly salty and tried to eat the remaining rucola leaves that weren’t drenched in Parmesan and oil. My husband had the steak with green pepper sauce– he didn’t enjoy that either. The steak came drowning in a very creamy sauce that wasn’t green. Seems something got lost in the translation in the menu. For what looks like a nice sit-down restaurant, this place had the worst food we ate in Venice.

Great service, great food and a decent atmosphere. The lighting is a bit too bright for our tastes. Started with the Carbonara that we shared then he had the steak filler and I had the grilled meats tray. The steak was perfect, so was all the meat on the mixed meat tray, but too much food, and I am a Midwesterner!

Lovely casual atmosphere. Fantastic pizza. The creame brûlée comes out flaming and is smooth and delicious. Quality food for a good price. Menus have got English translation.

Overall, service isn’t too friendly at the door. Once seated, the food was great. Sardines with onions and raisins, pasta with clams, & lasagna were great. The litre of red was young and not amazing, but helped. Definitely, make a reservation and enjoy. They had a great selection of pizza too. Our total tab was only € 56.

Normal food. Nothing you can’t make at home. Don’t go out of your way to get here. We had the ribs and the waiter suggested the chicken special. Both not flavorful. Just a lot of food.

After searching through Unilocal,i thought i finally found the very good italian restaurant. We came here only for lasagna. So from the start, server pissed me off. He uncontinuously was giving us attitude which made me to tell him. We ordered lasagna, salad and pizza(pepperoni, mushroom, olives) and beer. Salad and pizza were okay and we did not get our lasagna. No one came to table to ask if we were doing okay. And that server didn’t even apologize for not giving our lasagne even though he knew what we ordered. Worst experience on the first dAy in Venice

This has to be the best food in the whole of Italy!!! We were in Rome, Florence and then Venice. I ordered the calzone — just filled with meat and cheese and too big for one person so we have leftovers. My husband went with the suggestion of another helper and had the spare ribs — just exquisite. Service was excellent and keep room for dessert!

Parfait!

This restaurant is located just a few minutes away from the train station, far away from St. Mark’s Square. We arrived for an early dinner at around 6pm and there were maybe 5 other couples there. Over the next hour however, the restaurant continued to steadily seat guests, first filling up the front dining room and then continuing to seats lots of people in the side dining room. This place is much larger than it looks upon first entering. The vast majority of guests seemed to be English speaking tourists. The menu is in multiple languages. They have a honest-to-goodness salad bar, which seems to be an extreme rarity in Italy. Do a lot of tourists come here? Yes, definitely. Would I call it a «tourist trap»? No, not at all! A «tourist trap» is somewhere where they provide inferior food and service at an inflated price for unsuspecting tourists. Although this place had a lot of tourist diners, the prices were very fair and the food looked and tasted authentic to me. Several other diners eyed my plate of spareribs enviously.(No, I didn’t offer to share!) We really enjoyed our meal and appreciated the vast selection of entrees, seafood items and non-seafood items. I’d eat here again without hesitation.

Food very good. Service not good at all, very disappointing. Typical anti-tourist annoyed wait staff. The male waiters are not attentive; the women care more. I asked for water several times before it came, the table next to us ordered a refill of wine, which never appeared.

Excellent food, went back again! Lots of locals eating there so that’s a good sign. Would recommend booking as gets busy. Reasonable prices, homemade puddings, good wine and drinks, good service,

I am still enjoying fabulous left-overs this next morning as I write this review. Four traveling friends plus one lovely sister and two new friends from Australia had an exquisite dinner here last night. T-bone special was carved and served at table in spectacular fashion where diners could finish cooking slices to their individual tastes. Great place for steaks of all kinds plus the wines(good selection of local Veneto wines), sides, desserts and coffees were all outstanding. The best indications of success – laughter and joy all evening and then surprise that we had spent over 4 hours completely relaxed in the excellent restaurant. Also tried Rosemary steak, House Steak with blue cheese and bacon, scampi(this was not as tasty as everything else, but very well presented), chef salad, risotto, gnoche(melted in mouth!), grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, fried olives, fried vegetables, and house special sliced pork. We had lovely Amarone wines and a nice dry Prosecco. Our desserts were generous, beautiful and delicious: espresso sundae, chocolate fondue, chocolate cake(not too rich – just right). A perfect combination of setting, service, food and company – it will be up to you to bring the company, but this restaurant will bring you everything else!

Excellent grilled beef steak. The roasted fries were superb. Service good. Atmosphere good. Price is affordable. I would recommend this restaurant and they play American music, even though some were Christmas music in October. They do charge $ 2.50 a head,(tip).

This restaurant was recommend numerous times. We went here around 7pm on our first night in Venice. We were early and beat the dinner crowds and easily snagged a table outside. We started off with a caprese salad which was great. I ordered the spaghetti vongole(clams) while my bf ordered the tagliatelle with mushrooms. Both dishes were AMAZING. So flavorful and just the right amount. We finished everything. For dessert we had tiramisu. Everything was wonderful and we have talked about the dinner numerous times now. I highly recommend! For those who do not know the language: Waitors know/speak English.

Amazing little place to eat authentic food that is reasonably priced. We didn’t have reservations but where seated quickly(10:00 pm). I recommend the steamed mussels and clams in the white wine sauce. Two can share this appetizer and almost eat as main course because they give you so much. This place is off the beaten path where locals frequent. Enjoy!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, but I am not sure I would return(not that it was not okay but i would rather likely try others). The service was exceedingly slow, and at the end we were charged 2.5 per person for service. Perhaps this was on the menu, but i did not see it. We were at a table of five and each ordered a first course or second course along with a Caprese salad and ensalada mista as appetizer. One item that was one was particularly memorable: the mixed grill which was a huge selection of meats which included a filet, pork ribs, sausage, and some ground game which was really great.

Excellent place for affordable dinner in Venice. We have eaten there twice during our visit. The staff is friendly, helpful, and many of the servers speak English. The four of us shared a pizza with mushrooms, prosciutto, and egg; pasta with mushrooms, bacon, and red pepper; lasagne, and most wonderful appetizers: prosciutto with sun dried tomatoes and homemade fresh mozzarella and a terrine made of cabbage and squash. House made gelato for dessert(one was made into a banana split that was fabulous. It is kind of hidden but only a 2 minute walk from Ponte Scalzi and the train station.
