First time using these facilities for about 4 years. Not as chaotic as previous visits but still not the smoothest experience. Venice is now the eighth busiest commercial port in Italy and is one of the most important in the Mediterranean for the cruise sector, as a major hub for cruise ships.

A few months after posting a review for the Port of Venice, I received the following note from Unilocal HQ: We wanted to let you know that we’ve removed your review of Port of Venice. Our Support team has determined that it falls outside our Content Guidelines( ) because the content posted does not appear to be your own. Not my own. eh? I invite my Unilocal audience to judge for themselves in with the Text and of course my pictures(which were not removed): Gayle and I left from and returned to the Port of Venice Cruise Terminal during our September 2013 Cruise on the Norwegian Jade. The facilities aren’t particularly attractive, but the passenger facilities are efficient and the associated services enable Venice to host any type of cruise ship at any time of the year. We certainly weren’t on the only or largest Cruise Ship that happened to be parked or moving through the Venice waters. But it certainly an interesting gateway to the wonders contained within the canals.
