San Giorgio

This was our only dinner in Venice and the restaurant did a great job accommodating us. Our service was really great. The food was good and the company excellent. There was plenty of wine that went along with our meal. I forget how much we paid our tour manager for it but it was an add-​on excursion as opposed to an included meal. The food was good though. If you’re ever on a Contiki tour, do the food add-​ons because they are worthwhile. There’s no wait and they expect a big group versus being ill-​prepared.
We had a selection of: cheeses, roasted vegetables, pasta (2 kinds), meat & potatoes with salad, and a dessert which is classic Venetian cuisine, we were told. Since I was at a table for four with only two people who drank wine, we had plenty to imbibe. No surprise that we ended up passing our wine along to another table because we couldn’t finish it all. It was already paid for and we couldn’t take it with us! I had a great time with all the people I had met on my trip. Good dinner, great experience.
