First time in east Venice and was referred this restaurant by the front desk at crown plaza Venice east. About 15 min walk from hotel was not to bad very dark would suggest city invest in street lights. The restaurant as very modern nice and clean. The waitress spoke some English but she tried for the words she didn’t know A for effort. The menu was all in Italian until we request a English version they had one for the whole restaurant. We order the pizza but no options to add any not pork items which was disappointing. Overall the pizza was good. Also was disappointed did not accept AMEX without warning.

Went there for dinner, was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. The entrée of prosciutto and mozzarella was typical of an Italian restaurant in America. The cheese was not the delicious fresh mozzarella di buffala I was hoping for. The pizza was ok … not great. Sat on the small terasse. Not much to look at. Staff was courteous but not overly friendly.

I came here at 9pm for dinner with two of my friends after touring the town– so we were pretty hungry by that time. Honestly, the reality that the sun doesn’t set till 8 – 9 throws me off and my eating schedule… Cause eating so late and going to sleep soon after doesn’t work to well for me. But I guess when you’re traveling and touring you just have to go with the flow. So amongst the 3 of us, we shared a pizza, a pasta, and large bowl of mixed salad. Seafood pizza– my first pizza in Italy was amazingly good and refreshing because it reminded me of home… And the mussels and clams are literally placed on top of the pizza like a topping… with the shells still on. It adds a decorative and filling appeal to the meal. It’s not like those American pizzas where the crust and bread are thick. This one was perfect and light– thin crust and bread, marinara sauce. No cheese on the pizza either! I would’ve ordered one for myself if I had known how good it was. Squid ink pasta– it doesn’t say ‘squid ink’ on the menu but rather black pasta. I’ve tried this unique pasta before while in New Orleans and it was delicious despite the odd color for a pasta so I was open to order it again. Their pasta has bacon and fish bits in a not too creamy sauce but has a texture of the creaminess. If that makes sense. Haha. But we were all surprisingly surprised by the pasta, not a distinct smell or too fishy. I recommend this! Mixed salad– it was ok. We just felt that eating some greens would be good for our diet considering the amount of rich and carb heavy food we were consuming. There were little shrimps and artichoke and olives in it which I do not prefer to have so I picked around them. We ordered individual glasses of white wine which costs 4 euros each. It was smooth and pleasant to drink. White wines are my favorites so I was happy buzzed and happy full! Cost– $ 50 for three ppl with water and coverage charge included. Reasonable.

Ann and Rick: Our last night in Italy. Found Unico on Unilocal.Great looking place with great reviews. We found the food good but service felt almost rude and arrogant. We’ve had such wonderful people, willing to help, up until now.

I couldn’t wait to return to our boat to write this so here I am on the Unilocal app in middle of Unico to simply say how this is my new favorite restaurant in life. I don’t know what it is about«fast casual» in U.S. — Italy just kills us with it’s version. Light, flavorful food presented beautifully. There is nothing like it. Unico is perfect. It will take some time to get back to Mestre to enjoy Unico, maybe in my next lifetime(who knows?!), but I’ll get here.

Was eine tolle Überraschung!

Been there one night a few weeks ago when my wife was too tired to go and preferred to stay at the hotel and have me bring her some pizza. Sevice was a bit too slow(although courteous) but very good pizza indeed with one of the softest mozzarellas I have ever had(«fior di latte» type) and a delicious tomato sauce. The waitress was very accommodating and even encouraged me a customize the ingredients to meet my wife’s preferences and this ended up working pretty well. I had a sliced chicken breast with some brownish sauce served on top of thin-sliced al dente veggies that was quite ok, although not marvelous. They made a mistake on charging for two«services»(basket of bread) at the bill but the waitress evened it out on the spot so I was immediately ready to leave with a very warm pizza on my takeaway box. I plan to return there with my wife to check it out.
