When my daughter called to say she was getting married and wanted it to be in Tuscany, Italy, I was excited, but petrified. This would be our first wedding AND it would be a destination that was over 3000 miles away. Through diligent research and Sara, our amazing wedding planner at
., we decided on Borgo Pignano. The stunning pictures we saw of the expansive grounds and their committment to green, sustainable practices, instantly appealed to us. Moreover, we wanted our 65 guests to be together to celebrate and share our joy. This would all be possible on this gorgeous estate with more than ample lodgings and exciting activities. I am happy to report that the Borgo and its incredibly talented staff made for a magical experience that surpassed all of our high expectations. If you are fortunate to visit the Borgo and/​or hold a special event there, it will forever remain a highlight of your life. Luciano & Michele helped us arrange for the stunning room assignments and perfect execution of our wedding activities, while Gabriele, Pietro, Gianni and chef Vincenzo mesmerized us all with delectable and exquisitely prepared cuisine and wine. ALL of the staff was warm & charming, from Chiara at the front desk to the servers and housekeeping staff. Their resident artist conducted a spectacular family art lesson on the magnificent lawn overlooking a Tuscan landscape that will take your breath away. And their guide conducted a tour of the premises that highlighted their amazing production of lavendar, handmade soaps and honey. Our guests took full advantage of exploring the grounds on foot and bike, horseback riding, wine tastings, yoga, gym and swimming in the pristine infinity pool. The highlights of the week featured a barbecue in the Medieval Banquet Room and a pizza party on the patio that tantalized us and our guests with unequaled food and service. The wedding itself was exquisite and moved seamlessly from ceremony on the steps of an ancient chapel, to cocktails in the North Garden, dining on the great lawn and dancing the night away in the courtyard. Each and every nook and niche of this stunningly decorated and appointed estate will thrill your senses: be it curling up in a comfy chair in the elegant library, challenging friends to a game of billards, or sipping Capuccino in front of a crackling fire in the downstairs living room.
