JR East Travel Service Center

The JR East Travel Service Center is located near the Marunouchi North entrance of Tokyo Station. This is basically the place to go for foreign travelers needing to exchange for Japan Rail passes. If you are traveling in Japan for longer than the number of days on the pass, you will need to decide what day you would like the pass to be valid from.
I had initially waited outside the service center as I had thought this was the place for left luggage services. I was half right. The office in which you exchange for train passes is not the same one for luggage. There is a smaller office a few feet away for left luggage.
The left luggage office is great for travelers with baggage that won’t fit in the baggage lockers at the station. I had just flew into Haneda and had a long layover in Tokyo before flying back to Seattle from Narita later in the day. Left luggage service is a great solution for travelers with long layovers in Tokyo wanting to take in some sights before flying out.
The left luggage office opens at 7:30 am which was perfect timing since I had just flew into Haneda a hour beforehand and arrived at Tokyo Station a few minutes before they opened. The process of dropping off luggage here is easy. I gave them my luggage bag, paid the ¥600 bag fee and was handed a baggage claim receipt to provide when I came back to retrieve the bag. Upon return, I had no issues with claiming and was able to get my bag right away to travel to the airport.
If you need a place to keep your luggage before taking a train or flying out of Tokyo, I would recommend leaving it here.

The place where i learned about and got my Suica card. Buying tix is a hassle and having a cash loaded card that traverses all the subway and rail lines is a win. Located in Tokyo station, this office specifically staffs multi lingual employees to help those of of who are navigating around the city. A great service to tourists but to locals who are perhaps un scholared at all the ins and outs of the transit of Tokyo
