St. Marc is a chain of specialty pastries and desserts scattered throughout Japan and parts of Asia. This particular location has been around for a while, located on the north side of Chofu station on the Keio line running west out of Shinjuku in Tokyo. It’s along the same Main Street(Kyu Koshukaido), near the Seiyu(Walmart) grocery store. About their featured menu items, their standard«Choco-cro,» croissants with chocolate filling or other seasonal fillings are of course offered. They also offer a good selection of other pasteries at reasonable prices. Younger customers tend to go for their ice cream/shaved ice desserts, which are fairly large, sweet and expensive. Did I say high in calories? Note the tips here: Smoking and non-smoking seats are separated by floor — smoking first; non-smoking second, respectively. Wifi(Softbank only, unsecured) appears to be available. My pocket router is showing a full four bars on the first floor. Good for a quick energizer, St. Marc is pretty consistent. I’d actually rate this one at 3.5 stars, as the seating arrangement doesn’t feel as comfortable as at other St. Marc’s, but that is probably due to the lack of windows and narrow floor area.
